  1. Isn't that what everyone is using? Get off my lawn btw!
  2. Possibly. I think proper lumbar support and arm rests are actually what would make the most difference. And a good fitting chair in general. I need to support these elderly gaming bones of mine.....
  3. I think this is the base of my problems. I have some back issues and after a few hours in a regular office chair, I'm in pretty rough shape.
  4. Hi everyone, I'm in the process of refurnishing my office (house fire in the summer...) and I have an opportunity to invest in a good chair. Now I mostly game when I'm at my computer and the average session would be around 3 hours. That being said, I was 'all-in' on buying a DxRacer or equivalent chair but as I started looking around I was more attracted to proper office task chairs, both for comfort and the actual aesthetic. And not the costco brand faux leather $100 chair, but the proper ergonomic task chairs from companies like Herman Miller (Aeron/Mirra) and Steelcase (Leap/Think). I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see LTT do a review on some of these high end chairs and compare them against typical gaming chairs. What do you guys think, have you had a chance to try any high end chairs as well as the gaming chairs out there, and how would you compare them? I was hoping to pick one up at the end of February and was hoping to find someone who's had a chance to try both kinds.
  5. Does anyone know (or is there a video on) the difference of the X61 (or x62) vs the X41?
  6. I was thinking a large hdd would reduce game performance (which is what the 850 would be storing). Moved my photos and video to cloud services and mostly stream movies now so I don't need much storage. However if HDD's don't really effect gameplay, I'd likely move that direction.
  7. Hello everyone, Recently had a house fire and won't be back into my home for another 5 months (I've been out of it for 6 months already). One good thing out of this ordeal, however, is the fact I get to build a new pc and wifey is pushing me to build my dream system since it's been a trying year. SO, with that out of the way I'm going to try and keep the build under 4500 (plan on grabbing a Vive or Oculus as well). I'm a sucker for a clean white theme and I'm loving the tempered glass rave right now. So this is what I've got so far. Looking for feedback and suggestions to either increase performance or reduce cost. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/GfbVGf Thanks in advance!
  8. Love the DIY idea. I'd love to know the total cost of the rig as well, (lap top, vive, etc.), you know, for curiosities sake...
  9. Maybe that's the way to go. I was considering the 256 for the OS, a 500gb SSD for everything else and a 2-4tb HDD for storage. But that may be overkill since my media library has basically dwindled down to nothing. Thanks for the input Altecice, I think I'll look into going a similar route.
  10. Hi all, First post ever! I've tried checking other posts to find any opinions on this but have come up empty. I'm working on my new build and have the option of throwing an M.2 drive on the board. I plan on taking advantage of this however I don't know if it's more beneficial to use if for the OS (Windows) or use it for my gaming drive. The rig's primary function is gaming but I'm not sure if a speed bottleneck would occur on the OS side or the gaming side of the software, excuse my ignorance. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions are welcome. Also, for reference, thinking of using this board (admittedly for the color scheme and rgb goodness) and a 6700k. Thanks all.
