  1. Hello,I have this problem that occurs only in Overwatch. At random times, I get stutters and an extreme frame drop followed by a "stuttered" game audio while playing.I'd like to note that I'm running an unlocked Vbios for overclocking the GPU. However, the stutter occurs on both default GPU clock and while slightly over clocked. As a result, I think that the OC has nothing to do with this problem (correct me if i am wrong).I captured the stutter on video, as well as MSI afterburner data that may be useful, and uploaded it on Youtube:http://Any help would be greatly appreciated!System: MSI GE62 Apache pro LaptopCPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQGPU: GTX 970m 3GBWidows 10Latest GPU drivers (Game Video Settings set to LOWEST)
  2. I just flashed my gaming laptop (GTX 970m) with an unlocked vbios. I found a stable overclock and tested it on Heaven Benchmark and everything went fine. (+200 MHz Core / +700 MHz Memory / +137.5 mV / @ ≈ 80 C)HOWEVER, when I play a game (Overwatch), the GPU core speed fluctuates between the overclock speed and normal clock speed. I noticed that whenever this happens MSI Afterburner displays a "no load limit" even though the game is still running and the GPU is 100% in use (as displayed by Afterburner). As a result, I get a significant drop in FPS and some weird lag with weird noises from my headphones.I tried to figure out which particular overclock offset caused the problem by setting the core speed to original clock at first then launch the game. Then I tried to reset the memory clock to original speed and tried once again. However, none of these helped me figure what caused the issue. The game runs smoothly ONLY when the clock speeds are set to the custom vbios offset (which is +126 on core speed ONLY).Any help would be appreciated
  3. I want to do the same thing and i have the same laptop, did it work out for you?
  4. I've seen many videos on YouTube of people connecting an eGPU through PCIE and then boot up and install the drivers with no problems at all. What makes you think the GE62 will encounter such problems?
  5. So basically there is no way AT ALL to get an eGPU setup on my laptop cuz my BIOS will not allow?
  6. So basically there is no way AT ALL to get an eGPU setup on my laptop cuz my BIOS will not allow?
  7. So you are saying that it would be better to get an Nvidia eGPU (having a 970m already in use) rather than an AMD GPU
  8. Is there a way to check if my BIOS has support for GPU connection before buying the whole setup? Why AMD GPU in particularlar? and what 3rd party software do you mean?
  9. My laptop says that it supports PCI-E GEN3x 4, isn't this enough bandwidth?
  10. Can you please explain to me why would it not work even if I have an M.2 PCIE slot?
  11. Hey,I have the MSI GE62 6QF Apache Pro but for all I know it has a USB Type-c but does not support Thunderbolt 3.Also, the laptop has an M.2 PCIE (B & M keys) slot, however all the eGPU docks I have seen do not have a similar connector. Does anyone know a dock with a similar connection?I have also seen that these docks come with some sort of an HDMI cable that plugs into the dock and on the other side of the cable there is a PCIE connector. So, can I just get an HDMI to M.2 PCIE (B & M keys) cable and replace it with the one that came with the dock? If so, where can i find such cable as I have searched the web but got no clue. Any help with explanation would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
