I found a somewhat local GTX 970 for $100. Im going to email the seller and make sure its legit and see if he'll let me test it, but if its real, I think Id be dumb to pass it up.

Alright guys, sorry for dragging this out so long! Gonna keep my eyes open for some used cards just in case I find a great deal on something, and also watch the 1060 prices over the next 2-3 months. Lots of good advice, lots of things to consider here.

does the class of the microsd card apply to the speed at which it transfers data, or the quality of the data it stores? if that made sense.

The only thing appealing to me about the 750ti is how cheap they can be found used, around $100-$120, the jump to a $250 1060 6gb is a big price jump for me. But i think you guys are right, its nearly pointless. Maybe I could snag the 1060 on sale around black friday.

8 gb ddr3 at 1333 MHz. currently im thinking im going to look for any cheap 700-series GTX cards, if I could find a 750ti for cheap I wont even bother with a 1060 and I'd just save up for an entirely new system. I feel as if that is a bit smarter considering the 750ti could last me a year or so until I could buy a higher-end "sweet spot" gpu with an all new build.

Okay awesome. Noob question, but my mobo can not support newer cpu's, correct? not like cutting edge kaby lake or zen, something a bit older as I will probably be bargain hunting used parts.
