  1. Thanks for the quick reply G1 and G2 are each of the 6 pin connectors
  2. Hi A few months ago I posted that I was looking to buy HP Z420 but I didn’t know what graphics card I could put in it. Recently I have bought and received the HP z420 and found out after opening it that it has 2 6-pin pcie power connectors. I saw that some companies make 6 to 8 pin adapters but wanted to know if they are reliable. PSU is rated for 600 watts and from what I can see on the PSU label (I’m not very good at reading PSU labels), each 6 pin connector is on its own 12 volt power rail each rated at 18 amps. Also I saw that HP made an adapter for 6 to 8 pin pcie power but they are crazy expensive used on eBay. I haven’t looked much at GPU options. I was thinking of buying a used gtx 1070 Founders Edition for 1080p gaming (I know that it is overkill but I am trying to future proof) I play games like Cities skylines and world of warships and would like to play at high to ultra. Budget of 230$ If you want to give a gpu recommendation. Current PC specs: Xeon E5-1620 32gb ecc 1600 ddr3 (4gb x ? crucial mx500 500gb ssd 4tb wd blue Msi Radeon hd 7770 600 watt PSU Any ideas/recommendations are appreciated Thanks
  3. ok ill get the reference card.
  4. or could i get a msi armor rx580 and plug in a 6-pin connector? there is a good deal on the msi rx580 card on neweeg
  5. do they put special firmware or require special drivers or just the normal rx580 drivers and firmware?
  6. Thanks for the quick response. I was considering the rx570 but idk how it will do in 1-2 years. I saw that the amd reference rx580 has a 6 pin connector but I cannot find any for a resonable price except for the Dell oem rx580. Is there a problem with getting a dell oem rx580?
  7. Hello, I’m in need of a new gaming pc but I don’t have a large budget so I was thinking about getting an HP z420 with an E5-1650 v2. I was reading the manual for the HP z420 and it states that it supports graphics cards up to 225w with the 600w power supply (page 21) but it only has one 6 pin pcie power connector. So my question is what graphics card should I get to play 1080p games at high to ultra (more esports type games than triple a) that has one 6 pin power connector? Budget is around 200 to 225$ For the graphics card. Thanks
  8. Hello this is my first topic so i'm sorry if i don't include something i have an old computer that i have been trying to upgrade for awhile now because it can't play most games at low setting over 30 FPS but i don't know what direction to go in. ive concluded that it is the CPU is the bottleneck. Current PC Specs AMD A4-5300 MSI FM2-A55M-E33 Motherboard 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Crucial MX500 500GB SSD MSI Radeon HD 7700 I play esport games and a few AAA games at 1920 x 1080 with a 60 Hz monitor I was considering getting an old used hp desktop and reuse the ssd, and hd 7700 or upgrading my current computer with a better processor. i have a low budget of $250 Open to any suggestions.
  9. If i had to chose one of them than i would chose the New Razer Blade. Is that what they always call them. But i would use the blade to create better content on my Youtube Channel and so i can game on the go.
