  1. Linux would be even better - it's free.
  2. Try to run the benchmarks tomorrow. If it comes to it, you might have to just reinstall windows.
  3. Windows isn't that bad when it comes to GPU drivers. They usually won't overwrite the ones that you've installed manually. What CPU did you have before the upgrade?
  4. If it were me, I would look around for used server hardware in your area. Its a learning experience and fun to tinker with that stuff. Just my two cents.
  5. Craigslist, Letgo have always worked for me in local deals. Otherwise, https://www.reddit.com/r/CanadianHardwareSwap/
  6. Run CPU and GPU Benchmarks, Cinebench and Unigine Superposition respectively. Monitor temperatures, and utilization using AIDA64. Look for things that don't seem right. What games is this happening in?
  7. It's probably not worth the time and money trying to mod the case. Is there something especially different about this case that made you choose it?
  8. You have to create the variable guess before you start your loop, because your while loop uses the variable "guess"
  9. Sometimes, windows will disable the monitor. Goto your display settings and see if windows detects the monitor.
  10. Seems more like a want or a need. You're probably not gonna be pleased with this answer. But... Flip a coin, Heads is Yes, Tails is No. If you flip "yes" and your gut feels no, then the answer is no; if the gut feeling is yes, then yes. Vice versa if you flip "no". ? In the end, they're both great phones.
  11. Unless your motherboard is really old, it can probably handle up to speeds up to 1Gbps. Which means it wouldn't really make a difference if you upgraded your NIC
  12. However, your motherboard's drive controller probably doesn't support the SAS protocol. A RAID card would probably be your only option if you were to use the SAS drive.
  13. You're not going to get the full performance using a SAS drive on a SATA drive. You can probably just sell the drive and buy a regular SATA drive with the same capacity and still pocket some money as SAS drives sell quite a bit even used. If you don't want to go that route, try this: https://www.amazon.ca/StarTech-18-Inch-Cable-Power-SAS729PW18/dp/B000V72AQ4?tag=georiot-ca-default-20&ascsubtag=tomshardware-4797678580302317288-20
  14. Are you plugged in? Using the right power settings? Try right clicking on league and there should be an option to choose your GTX 1060 under "run with graphics processor"
  15. I was going to use the setup for gaming. That won't work, will it?
  16. Hey guys, I've done some searching around on Google and I'm trying to find if Nvidia Surround supports DisplayPort daisy-chaining. All that I'm getting is that it doesn't, but it's all from forum posts from 2015. I was wondering if this has changed. I'm using a GTX 780 Thanks
  17. Here is a forum post on the Microsoft site explaining the steps to repair your boot files https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance-winpc/repair-windows-10-using-usb-drive/35c9a8f8-dde5-4370-a8fe-5a84b9e00ebb
