  1. that looks like something i could do. only about 50 dollars too.
  2. i'm not talking about contrast, i am talking about how the IPS glow makes the dark scenes seem washed out in the corners.
  3. the colors on IPS are fine to me. but i see your points. i haven't really noticed anything bad on this monitor compared to my TN monitor, it is 1440p instead of my 1080p TN, but just watching a movie on it, specifically the ones i watch with darker scenes, the IPS glow just makes those scenes seem less enjoyable if you know what i mean.
  4. Contrast isn't the problem to me. specifically while playing a game with a dark scene, or watching a movie/show with a dark scene in it, the ips glow makes it i don't know, shine? my tn monitor the black at least looks black, rather than the IPS glow messing with it.
  5. I know i have seen people say IPS monitors are perfect for watching movies and shows and such. But dark scenes don't really seem appealing as opposed to my TN. The TN monitor i have doesn't have amazing colors by all means, but there is no IPS glow to ruin the black levels in dark scenes like in supernatural, or in some cases in some parts of superman returns and such. It just looks white and washed out on my IPS monitor, while on my TN panel it at least doesn't glow or anything with minimal backlight bleed. So does anyone else think that watching movies and shows with dark scenes in them are bad around the corners and parts of the edges are kind of meh on IPS monitors? compared to a decent TN at least. I have an acer xf240h and an LG 27GN850
  6. you mean this? https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Premium-Adjustable-Capacity-GSDM001/dp/B0779JSRH5/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=wali+monitor+arm&qid=1609576549&sr=8-7
  7. So i recently the LG 27GN850 as my new main monitor, and my acer xf240h is now retired. But i want to save some room on my desk. so what i want to do is get a monitor arm and have it ABOVE my LG monitor. But not sure what monitor arm can go up that high and such. i can't wall mount it, at least currently. so that is out of the question, it will have to be a desk mount. but the desk is sturdy. So i would need something that can carry the weight of the acer monitor and go up reasonably high. Something around 100 dollars or less, the cheaper the better, but not cheap in quality. Would anyone have any suggestions?
  8. you mean like those small fitbit ones?
  9. Any of the galaxy smart watches that I THINK are waterproof. Not sure what it is really being marketed as. But if something says it is waterproof can you wash dishes with it in on? I wash dishes at a restaurant and want to know this before buying.
  10. Yes that is what i was referring to when i say the only way to actually do anything, but like i said their software doesn't have anything i can really do with the lighting. just a bunch of pre setup lighting configs like meteor and stuff. EDIT: or if i want it to be "breathing" it will only breathe in rainbow rather than 2 colors or 1 color.
  11. So i am trying to figure out how to do different RGB profiles to kind of match the rest of my corsair set up, and i have mystic light installed, but mystic light doesn't see the ram. which is just a pair of trident z royals. the only way to actually do anything with them is use their actual lighting software. But nothing they have really does what i want them to do. Does mystic light not support trident z memory?
  12. alright thank you. just had to make sure since i couldn't really find anything on it.
  13. So i have a bit of an older computer, and the power supply does seem to be a bit smaller than what i was looking at. would anyone be able to tell me if the seasonic focus GX 550w be able to fit inside this case? https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811144151
  14. Yeah, that just came to mind. I will check the connectors and everything on his motherboard. otherwise i might just build him a low power computer that can run the game he wants. But thank you for for your input on the power supply.
  15. So my friend's dad has this computer https://www.pcliquidations.com/p114010-hp-pavilion-hpe-h8?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&utm_term=114010&r160164167166161= He has trouble playing star trek online and we already have a graphics card he can use, he just needs a better power supply for the graphics card. So my question is will the EVGA 550w G3 fit in this case or not? Since the power supply i believe is physically smaller than most. But i can't be too sure on that.
  16. yeah, recommended i learned a while ago doesn't always mean that is what the graphics card with the full system will draw, my r9 390x wanted a 750w power supply, i just went with a good 650w power supply, EVGA g2, and have had no issues. But i don't really know too much about the 30 series at the moment to give any real advice there.
  17. Awesome, thank you. I have just ordered the case
  18. So just got the 3200g, motherboard, ram and ssd, and wanted to double check something that will influence the case I am getting. Will the included 150w power supply in the inwin Chopin be good enough for just a 3200g? No graphics card or gaming. Just a small computer for web browsing really.
  19. So, just like my last PC case, my front panel audio for some reason isn't working, I thought it was my PC case, but i have gotten an entirely new case, and motherboard. I have triple checked that all front panel devices are in fact plugged in. Uninstalled my sound drivers, restarted my computer and installed them again, realtek HD audio manager shows that it can see the front panel audio connector, and windows also sees it when i am playing something, yet nothing is playing from my headphones. I have tried these headphones on my phone, my laptop and my dads computer, including in the rear audio jack where i have my speakers plugged into, the headphones do in fact work. However on both PC cases and motherboards front panel audio does not work. Am i missing something? How do i get this to work? Do i need to change a BIOS setting?
  20. windows 10 pro, version 1909, OS build 18363.836
  21. cool. found a case, thank you.
  22. yes, something like that. is the power supply adequate enough for something with integrated graphics?
  23. is it about as wide as a normal mid tower? looking at pictures of it, it looks to be just shorter rather than actually smaller.
  24. I am looking for something very small, i will attach a linus tech tips video showing about the size the of the case i am looking for, with possibly a usb port on it or two, not really expecting two. don't need a gpu so it doesn't need to be that big. edit: budget is 100 dollars or less
  25. sorry for late reply, but none of these seemed to work.
