  1. You do know that the i7-6700 has a lower clock speed right? Wouldn't that translate into less performance compared to the i7-6700K? Also, @CosmicNations, will you be doing any video editing or content creation or you'll just be gaming? This will help in deciding which CPU to get.
  2. @herman mcpootis, that video doesn't show the i7-6700. It shows the i5-6600K against the i7-6700K, where the i7 would obviously win due to being overclockable.
  3. I wasn't trying to mislead him. Based on CPU UserBenchmark, the i5-6600K was ranked higher than the i7-6700!
  4. @CosmicNations, I swapped out the i7-6700 for an i5-6600K which will perform way better for a cheaper price as well as got a pretty good 650W fully modular PSU. 5. @CosmicNations, take note that the prebuilt system comes with an i7-6700 NOT an i7-6700K. This means it is not overclockable, and you might as well build a system yourself with an i5-6600K which is overclockable and much cheaper.
  6. Not likely if you don't push it too high. Just increase it a little will do till you can feel the difference.
  7. Your welcome. Feel free to ask if you have any other doubts or questions as this great community at the LTT Forums will gladly assist you.
  8. I see. Yes, I think that GPU has the best performance to price ratio among the other GTX 1060s in PCPartPicker. The cheapest one is the ASUS GTX 1060 Dual, but I think you'll like the Gigabyte one better as it is black with red streaks as well as being shorter (will fit in very small cases).
  9. 450W will be sufficient for your build. Its best to stay above 400W as you'll be gaming and anything lower than 400W are usually made for office use. By the way, this is where you'll get your parts link, not from the address bar.
  10. @ChiefRobb, here's a list of parts I picked out for you. In your list, you added the i5-6500K, which is a non-existent CPU. However, I replaced it with an i5-6500. Next, your motherboard. There really isn't much need to spend more than $10 extra on a motherboard with cool lighting effects since you're gonna hide it in the small Core V21 case anyway. So, I swapped it out with the ASUS H110M-A, a very well-known board. I also managed to squeeze in an SSD along with a 1TB HDD for pure speed and mass storage at the same time. I also put in the Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce OC which you stated above. I swapped out your PSU with a Corsair CX550M Semi-modular PSU and it comes with a $25 rebate, which brought it down to $30 from its $55 price tag. 11. @ChiefRobb, its best not to get single-fan GPUs, as the single fan will need to work harder which will result in a shorter fan lifespan as well as noisiness when it gets old. I'm currently putting together a list of parts for you.
  12. I've made a recent topic comparing 4 different cases and I ended up going with the Tecware Alpha. Now, I've found its little brother, the Tecware F3 which is slightly smaller but has the same black + white theme I'm going for. I've listed the specifications as well as links to their official product pages and reviews. 13. Yes, the RPMs of the spindle (the thing that rotates the disk inside) is usually the way most people gauge the speed of a hard drive. 7200 RPM is currently the most popular option as it offers somewhat above average speeds without compromising on space unlike SSDs which are built just for speed. If you have any other doubts or questions, just ask in this friendly forum!
  14. @BPCBuilds, if you really, really want to save even more and you don't need 500GB, then there's a 320 GB option too. Western Digital Blue 320GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
  15. Yes, the performance will be similar. If you're not using the extra space then go ahead and save some cash.
  16. Actually, you could go even cheaper than that, like getting a Western Digital 1TB 5400 RPM Hard Drive instead of the Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive (to save €2.00) but keep in mind that you're sacrificing performance. Also, if you don't care much about looks, the cheapest case you could get is the Xigmatek Aeos for only €25.00 which will shave off another €13.
  17. I chose the Bitfenix Nova for you if you want to save some more cash. 19. You should get a WiFi card. My build has an extra slot in the motherboard for it.
  20. A fast, 7200 RPM HDD will do. 21. Sorry, I accidentally tagged you instead of OP cuz I didn't scroll all the way back up.
  22. @BPCBuilds, what is your budget and please state the currency.
  23. My budget for my total build is 3300 MYR, which leaves me just about 200 MYR for a case.
  24. @OnionRings, I've searched all over the internet but in vain. But based on Wikipedia, Gen3 x4 (which is what the board supports) would be M key. However, since the motherboard is a high-end model, I think it will support most keys of the M.2 socket.
  25. Thanks for your opinion. However, the S340 isn't on my local online store.
