  1. I downloaded the user manual of the samsung and it's not super clear about it but it should support at least 120Hz on HDMI 1.4 based on hdmi bandwiths and what's wrote on the manual: DisplayPort Ver Select your Displayport. ― Incorrect settings may cause the screen to go blank. If this occurs, check the device specifications. ― If the product (when set to HDMI1, HDMI2 or DisplayPort) is displaying the message Check the cable connection and the settings of the source device. press the JOG button to display the function-button screen and then select → System → DisplayPort Ver. → 1.1 or 1.2↑. ― If setting the DisplayPort Ver. to 1.1, for the bandwidth limitation of the DisplayPort 1.1 protocol, the actual maximum output refreshing rate of the graphics cards cannot achieve the level of 100 Hz/120 Hz/144 Hz. HDMI Mode Select the HDMI mode to use. ― The supportable device and resolution may differ depending on its version. ― When the version is changed, the screen may blink. ― If you set the HDMI Mode to 1.4, some high resolutions may not be supported because of bandwidth limitation of the HDMI 1.4 protocol. ― When the setting is not appropriate, a blank screen may appear. In this case, check the specifications of the device. , it's completely fine for me if it runs at 120Hz. The doubt mostly stand on the response time and color accuracy.
  2. Hi, I was planning to buy a 144Hz monitor. I was trying to choose between these two: Samsung C24RG50 Acer KG251QFbmidpx I'm mainly going to use it for fps games, or a least that's what I'm planning now, may turn it on for media ecc later on but I don'r really NEED to since I'm connecting it to my laptop which have a good IPS PANEL (it has a 1.4 HDMI connection so it should be able to output 144Hz right?) The main concern is for the response time/ghosting on the VA panel but since the other is a cheap TN I'm concerned for the REALLY poor iage quality. It's for competitive fps games ofc but doesn't mean I necesserelly want to see crap. If you have any advice go for it, I'm asking here cause I couldn't find any decent reviews as you can find on rtings.
  3. @herman mcpootis and what about the fans? Do I need to buy some fans for good air flow?
  4. Okay, and they're good enough quality? Cause for 6€ i could get Actic mx4 thermal paste. About the case, if I have to compromise to get the case I wouldn't do it, but, since I won't buy anything before the end of the year, if prices drops or I can manage to gather a bit more money, I really like the case. Btw, since as I just said I'll not buy until 2018, I'll probably do another post when the time will come, this one was to understeand approximately what I could get with this budget.
  5. @herman mcpootis don't I need thermal compound? And would everything fit inside this case?
  6. @herman mcpootis And how would you rate ryzen3 1200 vs the ryzen 5 you suggested me? It's always nice to have 100€ left (if it's not too bad)
  7. Oh okay, typical Amazon skipping on informations...
  8. I can't find informations saying that the monitor supports freesync though.
  9. This also looks really good. The only thing is the PSU, is it a reputable brand and are 450 W enough? I don't want to cheap out on the power supply. And (not that I don't like, it's just to understeand) why RX 580 over GTX 1060?
  10. some parts aren't available, if they were it would be over budget and you forgot about the monitor
  11. How exactly would you do that? Cause it's really confusing to me ^^. And, I saw the graphics card you put in the list has one HDMI 2.0 and 3 Displayport 1.4, so I guess I could handle up to 4 monitors but what kind of monitors does a Displayport 1.4 can handle?
  12. You said I could not be able to get a second GPU to work and then you said if i get another GPU, i don't understeand ^^. 1700 is the ryzen 7 right? And is a date until the AM4 chipset will be used by for new generations known? Plus, does it support overclocking? Sorry for all these questions
  13. Seems pretty nice, I'd upgrade to the 22" IPS model for 10 €. And only question, since to my knowledge it's the most important thing if not the only one regarding upgradabilty, could you explain to me how does the motherboard handle the upgradabilty? Cause I'm a huge noob regarding motherboards but I wanna make sure that it should hold up in the future. And btw, thanks a lot for the build suggestion.
