  1. Neither do i, Thats why its so frustrating.. I had a friend set it up for me, he just put it on one of his servers that he rents from germany, he has quite a few websites. i dont think it would be the DNS as i have changed the DNS setting through my laptop not my router using "Change network adapter" and i can access the site through my workplace wifi using the same laptop... if that makes sense.. The error i get is just a timeout error. "aaronhow.com took too long to respond"
  2. This is all it gives me, It uses all 30 hops. I do believe the hosting server is located in germany, so thats to be expected. So the issue lies with my hosting in germany ?
  3. Pinged it, 79.133.61.164 is the IP it gave me, 4 packets sent 4 Packets lost The tracert aaronhow.com is the image attached in the main post
  4. Ddint work after flushing DNS arp -a -d says it failed, needs elevation? i am the admin on my PC so i dont know why that failed? Still doesnt load on chrome or firefox
  5. G'Day guys, I recently started a website just for a little project, However i cannot access the site from my home network. Whenever i try to connect to the website (aaronhow.com) it times out. However i can connect from my phone using mobile data and from my workplace network... This is really frustrating. At first i thought it was because i portforwarded my router in order to play for honour. However i have hard reset my router and it hasn't fixed anything. I have tried searching online for a fix but cant seem to find anything. I should mention that i am currently using Googles free DNS server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. i have tried using my computers default dns as well. Also it is not my computer as the other laptops in the house dont connect either. Not even my phone will connect to the site when using the wifi. Please help me, i have been struggling with this for about a week before i finally asked for help. Below is what happens when i tracert my website through my wifi but i dont know what the information means
  6. Hey guys, Ive been looking at antivirus as ive just purchased a new laptop and my old laptop has been running without it for a couple months. Ive been looking at Trendmicro, just wondering what you guys think about that, as its the cheapest i can find for both my computers
  7. Nope no sticker, there is a small one that says windows 8 but no product key. Because they have to make everything difficult of course...
  8. Okay, any idea how i find my windows product key ? There is no sticker on the laptop anywhere. i don't want to format the drive then be stuck with no OS
  9. If it stopped working at 3.3 leave it 3.3. it wont go any higher. if it does it will most likely be unstable and the lifespan of the chip will be greatly reduced. Leave it alone or you will end up frying your CPU
  10. Hey guys, i have noticed over the past few weeks that my laptop has become extremely sluggish. Compared to what it was its so annoying to use it now. I was messing around with linux (Dual Booting) but i have since removed the partition that contained linux. Do you guys have any suggestions? CPU: i5-4200U Ram 4GB Windows 10 64 bit
  11. Hey guys, i want to reinstall my windows os on my laptop. im just wondering what the best way to go about it is? I currently have linux and windows on the same hard drive and am wanting to seperate them. As i have a spare drive, if i create a bootable usb for windows and boot from it will it give me the option to format the drive completely? Also i retrieved my windows key by using magical jelly bean has anyone else used this ? does it work it wont say that its already been used will it ?
  12. I always vacuumed my PC motherboard, Fans, CPU and all with the brush attachment. Made sure not to press too hard and i held the fans with my finger to stop them spinning the wrong way. I never had a problem
  13. Anything with a through put of 500mb/s should be fast enough, only recomendation would be to try and find one with 2 ethernet ports as most will only have the 1 (saves buying another adapter if you have more than one device that requires an ethernet connection) In regards to the attic question, Im not the best with networking stuff so im not sure. But additional Powerline adapters can be bought as they only require the one access to the router... if that makes sense. Another option as stated above me is to buy a range extender that converts to 5GHz. or if possible to move the router to a more central location. Have you thought about dual band routers that have 2.4GHz and 5GHz? Again not knowing anything about the netherlands internet infastructure im not sure what the issue is with a 5GHZ router interupting the phone line?
  14. Hey guys, ive been having issues with my Laptop pc Latley. Its very slow. I have dual Operating systems on the hard drive and im wondering if that could be slowing it down. The hard drive has 2 partitions 1 for windows the other for Linux mint. what i wwant to do is wipe the drive and start again fresh but my laptop has no CD drive to reintall windows. Also is there a way to find the product key to the install of windows already on the laptop? Thank you
