    re-seating still wouldn't hurt....mate. There's nothing wrong with your choice of PSU so sufficient power shouldn't be a problem.

    Define "a while back". I'd be cleaning out the "some time" and "while back" dust and re-seating all your hardware.

    I use one to clean an older PC. But i don't give two shits about that machine. Anyway....never had a problem and still runs fine.

    I bought a pre-built piece of junk about 25 years ago. The idea of building my own machine was a foreign concept to me.

    I find that for most hardware that yes they are more expensive. Though the cables are quite comparable to what Cablemod sells them for. However if you want fully customised cables, you would have to buy direct from Cablemod which then gets unjustifiably expensive for me.

    You might see some modest changes with changing the thermal paste. Has anything else changed in your system? Was has the temp gotten up to under load?

    My advice would be....if you're struggling for space back there....don't bundle too many cables together.

    I just googled that system and that case is awful. Looks like no airflow whatsoever.

    I would be looking to remove extra stand-offs. If you have shorted the mobo with extra standoffs or metal there is a possibility you've killed it. Might want to try and test it again on the mobo box.

    I'm pretty sure the back plates are just to make the cards look prettier. It SHOUDLN'T adversely affect the temperature. My fan cooled card came with a backplate.
