  3. I think asrock motherboards are great they are in my server and my htpc and with the 10gbs nic I may get one for my workstaion. but 2 out of the 4 ram slots in the server have failed and i can't use them THERE GOES 32 GB OF RAM IT BLOWS :angry:

HI i am looking to upgader my server from 10tb to 20tb but I am having troulb on the case I was think of getting the norco rpc-470 but the time dose not allow for ship in a very very very remote station for 1 week.The other think was think is going to the hardware store and make one from wood.Is there any thing wroung with make it out of would.here are the iteam that are going in there. 8x 2tb seagate drive 6x 80gb hdd 6x 320gb hhd 2x raid cards 2 ssd cache 22 hhd in total gigabyte x79-up4 motherboard intel i7 4470k 2x 1 gbps nic 1 10gps nic 16gb of ram 1000w psu Is there heat that I would run into with the build if I build out off wood

  8. i would like your oppinion because im finding it difficult to make a decision i have a server that will be used for work and personal usage the server will have 4-8 active vps's running 24/7 for testing purposes for work for personal use i have 10tb worth of movies songs and data on 6 2tb drives the thing im not sure on is should i get 2 raid cards 1 for work 1 for personal use or just 1 decent raid card im on a budget and dont want to spend more than i have to so thanks in advance for your input

  10. the motherbord dose not have a on-board integrated gpu @Wolfereign1. Bad ram or ram slot (try lot of ram config) 2. Bad sata port (try with nothing but the motherboad pulg in to the psu) 3. Bricked bios (have not done that but have try reset the cmos) 4. Bad processor (just trow out 10 775 cpu no more left) 5. Chipset doesn't match the processor (was working 6 morth ago with the cpu) 6. If you do have a GPU in a pcie slot then make sure there is power connected to it. (tryed that ) 7. You said the motherboard lights up so its getting power however the psu could still be an issue. as a last ditch effort you could try a different psu. (only one I have left is my main rig have to take it out ) I will try a new psu
