  1. Thank you for your reply! So, when I ping out to the web and gateway it shows the same kind of spikes. However, when I ping myself, I'm getting good consistent response time. I also did try changing the channel bandwith to 20mhz (Because it was on 20/40mhz) And that didn't change anything. Nor did changing to my 2.4ghz frequency.
  2. So, I just recently transitioned to a wireless network adapter from a wired connection. (I had no choice.) Everything worked fine on wired, and I realize I'm not going to get the same kind of speeds over wireless, but online gaming is completely unplayable in any game. My speeds are 45-50 down and 5 up, which is completely expected. I seem to just get random lag spikes during any game, and it's also noticeable while web browsing. My drivers are up to date, and I know it's not a hardware issue with my pc. I have a Belkin n600 DB adapter, and a n600 wireless db router. I'm using the 5ghz frequency, and my drivers are up to date, and I've even tried changing the channels. I'm really pulling my hair out here you guys. Here's a pic of me pinging my gateway.
  3. Probably Reddit, Youtube, LTT, Newegg, Amazon, TPB, Kickass
  4. Tearing. Cluttered desktops. Slow boot time. Once you go SSD, you'll never go back.
  5. Hey guys, I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out with this annoying problem that I'm having. So, my family and I just recently moved into a new bigger house, and we had to place the router and modem downstairs. Right now, we're just accessing it wirelessly with network adapters, and the connection isn't all that bad. Decent down and up speeds, however we keep getting a random disconnect and it will last only about a minute or two, and then it will come back up. It happens more frequently when somebody is downloading a large file. Also, we weren't having these issues in the old house, but we were all using a wired connection at the time. We're using a Wireless N300 D-Link Cloud Router DIR-605L. Thanks!
  6. Not sure if anybody posted this or not:P NES Power Glove.
  7. Hmmm. I'm not sure if Linus has ever been the sole purpose of me actually buying a product. I usually watch his vids, and if the product seems interesting, then I'd go ahead and do some research and such.
  8. Not having a back up, and having a hard drive failing. Some pretty terrifying stuff. Hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm hoping to back up my data soon.
  9. A whopping 1TB flash drive review from Kingston. I found this pretty interesting, and I love the metallic sturdy build to it. http://www.eteknix.com/kingston-hyperx-predator-usb3-0-1tb-flash-drive-review/
  10. That's pretty sweet man:D Good luck everybody.
  11. What's up guys? I'm pretty new to the Forum and so far I'm really impressed with the awesome community and hope to post more in the future:) Anyways, I was just wondering what kind of video game franchises and series do you guys like? Personally, I instantly fell in love with the Halo franchise. I still remember going over to my friends house and playing Halo 2 for the first time:D Over the years, I've spent many hours on numerous Halo titles. I think some other ones would definitely have to be the Mario and Sonic franchises, all the GTA games, and all the Elder Scrolls games. Really excited for GTA V:)
  12. Hmmmm, I would definitely have to say it'd be Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite.
