Is there any laptop you have in mind? I know the XPS 15 is loved by many but the camera being in such a stupid position kinda kills it for me since I use it daily.. Battery life is also very important to me

So I'm gonna be starting my undergraduate degree for a computer science engineering in the end of August, and I'm wondering if the dual cores in the new macbook pros (13'' has an i5 6267U) and the ones in windows laptop (usually a i7 7500u) have enough power for the stuff I'll have to the following 5 years or will I need the quadcores that are in the beefier and bigger laptops? So I would love a GTX 960 for my girlfriend who wants to get into gaming but is afraid of doing anything with a computer so I already have ordered some parts, i5+mb, ssd and hdd and case. Hey guys, I've been looking at the G Flex 2 since it's only €350 now I watched some reviews at launch and they all complained about overheating but I've been looking around and people are saying that most of the problems are mostly gone after the recent lollipop 5.1.1 update. Since battery life is very important to me, I'd like to know if that's true. So does anyone own a Flex 2 or know someone with one? Would love to know what they say. Thanks in advance!!
