  1. So I have put he file back in place and reinstalled docker. How do I import the containers that are in the files so docker sees them? In my /var/lib/docker/containers I have 10 containers. Any idea of how to add them into docker?
  2. The os was corrupt so I could not boot into it to export it or do anything. Does copying back the containers work? Where would I find them to copy back in?
  3. So I had my raspberry pi os corrupt itself. So I have done a fresh install onto the sd card. For the backup I have all the files stored on my computer, I just copied all the files and pasted it into a folder. I was using the pi for Docker and Portioner. I have the var/lib/docker but I don't know how to go about putting these files back onto the pi so that I don't lose my containers Any ideas?
  4. Hello, I have two connections. One is wired and one is Starlink, I want to use my edge router X to do some sort of load balancing / policy base routing so that we get low ping based tasks such as gaming, facebook or voip to go through the lower latency wired connection and everything else goes though Starlink, such as streaming, downloading large files etc. Is this possible and does anyone know how I can set something like this up?
  5. Hello, Im looking to upgrade my internet in London, UK. At the moment I only get 12mbs down and a bit less then 1mbs up. I run a small business from home. A small media production company mainly uploading videos and live streams and I game a bit on the side. At the moment I’m with sky for broadband and we have a FTTC and an ADSL connection to the home. I have tried a few different solutions to the problem, I have tried contacting all providers in my area and due to living on a private unmade up road, most just wanted to have me sign up on there “I’m interested page” or just told me no. I also went down the path of doing a community driven install with a company which with the prices they had given me and people in my areas, I could not get pushed though. My main and only option seems to be having a lease line. I had some quotes done but each quote was at different price point and use different methods. I Ideally don’t want to pay more than £300 a month but can stretch it if its worth the money. The company and prices where: virgin media business - as far as I’m aware its not a fibre connect but uses the tv signal line - 3 year contract 100mbs - £276 200mbs - £336 300mbs - £396 500mbs - £456 1gbs - £576 Talk talk - This was a Ethernet first mile connection - 3 year contract 300mbs - £377.30 1gbs - £418.34 Bt business - This was a normal fibre connection - 5 year contract 100mb - £537.60 500mb -£591.24 1gbs-£650.40 All are 1gbs lines, with symmetrical up and download speed so they all have room to grow with my business. So my question, is there any other option I can go with? My feeling at the moment is go with Virgin media business as they are the cheapest and if I need to grow they have the speeds and prices to match. Has anyone had any experience with business lines in the uk any advice?
  6. Hello, I have a ping problem with gaming. I recently upgraded to the EdgeRouter x from my ISP provided router/modem combo thing. Our internet speeds are 12mbs down and a bit under 1mbs up. I tried using QOS and it looked promising, I ran a DSLR report and went from C’s across the board to with QOS enabled having A’s across the board. A bit about my set-up: Eth0 - my modem Eth1 - goes to my office to a dum switch then to the two gaming computers Eth2 - nothing Eth3 - an apple access point mainly used for smart home devices (does not use much bandwidth) Eth4 - UniFi access point (main access point) I wanted to know if it possible to set a priority for my Eth1 so we don’t have ping problems and then have Eth3 and Eth4 be put at a lower priority. The problem comes when people try to stream shows on Netflix or load social medias. Things that don’t require a fast ping to a server. Any advice welcome, thanks.
  7. Hello, I'm having problems with my audio. The main problem being went i listen to music on spotify its quiet. I have installed the realtek audio drives for the board and have the speakers (realtek(R) Audio) selected as my output. I have my headphones plugged into the on board headphone jack. With my audio on windows set too 100% and spotify also maxed as well as my streaming quality set to very high and normalise volume is turned off. On the windows volume mixer when i play a song it only shows the audio bar go up half way at max volume. It very quiet in my headphone still (audio technica ath-m50x). Any advice welcome, Thanks.

  19. Hello I need some help with buying a monitor. At the moment I am in the early stages of building a new pc but I am waiting to see what components to get. I do a mixture of playing games and editing video (also colour corrections) so ideally I want a monitor which is 1440p IPS 144hz 27 inch and preferably 10 bit but 8 bit is still fine for most of my work. I have a budget of about £500. These where the two monitors I was looking at: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/LFRzK8/acer-xv272u-pbmiiprzx-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-xv272u-pbmiiprzx https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/RPCD4D/gigabyte-aorus-ad27qd-sa-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-aorus-ad27qd-sa I wanted to know if AORUS AD27QD is a better pick to save my self £55 and get the acer xc272U or if you have any other suggestions feel free to mention them. Thanks
  20. Hello, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bGCDGG I wanted some help with a build I’m planning. For a little background information on me, I will mainly be using the rig for a mix of gaming and video editing as well as colour correction. I also want to use AMD graphics cards as I’m coming from a Mac and once I’m done with this machine I want to be able to use the GPU as an external GPU for my MacBook Pro. I have a budget for about £1000-1200 and that has to include the monitor as well. I want one that Is IPS and 1440p preferably 144hz. Also, I’ve seen that there is lots of new computer parts being released recently, is there anything I should wait for? I don’t mind waiting a little if it would ensure me a better pc. Any advice would be welcome and UK prices please. Thanks
  21. How we'll do these drives fair for reliability? I was looking at these as they where good for the price but was not sure if a somewhat named brand would be better for reliability?
  22. As far as I was aware NVMe ssd where a lot faster compared to SATA ssd. For video editing the faster the ssd the better.
