You know I have actually never overclocked a monitor before, do you use a particular software to do that? have you tried it on your dell? You know I might just get yours (s2240m) I perfer dual link dvi over hdmi anyway, it has a higher bandwidth capability so Im not entirely sure why so many are hot on hdmi

I have been looking around at monitors for a new build. I recently got a asus tn 24ohz panel cause I have never experienced a tn panel in person and I was wondering why people did not like them. I am starting to understand why. Like I said I am starting a new build and my pops has this dell s2240l and I absolutely love the colors on it and its pretty cheap. What do you guys think for that price range? Or maybe go a little more expensive? Also I was wondering, are there any good ips pannels that are more then 60hz? Every ips panel I see are always 60 hz, I would really like a monitor like the dell s2240l but with a higher refresh rate... Thanx in advance for anyone's input on this matter : )

I was sorta wondering that myself. I was thinking for example, those scenes when the camera is panning around mountain tops, maybe directors just need to be aware that the fps is much higher so they should pan the cameras slower?

Im leaning towards a 144hz but open to suggestions.

is there a $300 24" 23" with a 120 hz? I like the dell u2142 but its only 60 hz

@91wow I play everything except flight and racing sims. Lately I have been playing alot of anno but I love fps's as well and skyrim etc. Just not racing games

I was curious if anyone had suggestions for a monitor with a $300 budget. Best monitor for the money mainly used for gaming. I would like it to have a good response time, color, etc. Good for gaming but also movies windows all the normal stuff. Thanx in advance!
