  1. So as the title stated, my laptop isn't displaying anything. Power button is lighting up and the fan is spinning but no display. I learned about the CMOS battery reset so I unplugged the battery, waited probably 30 mins., then plugging it again only to ruin the laptop entirely. Now the fans aren't spinning anymore although the lights on the power button still shows up. Any fix? Tried removing both of my ram sticks and sticking just one or the other and it didn't work (tried this before and after the CMOS battery reset). Tried pressing the power button for about a minute or so to “reset” the CMOS something and also nothing.
  2. This one is probably off the build but I want to ask this to you anyway.. I've read some pc build guides and how they used 1650/1660/1660 super on most of them. Is that card any good? Is that a budget card?
  3. By the way I took a screenshot of the build. I think this will be my basis for now as I work on that PC. Thank you so much for this!
  4. Problem is I won't be able to verify the prices because of the lockdown. Online shopping apps here have inaccurate prices so I can't depend on those either. One of the most important thing I look forward to this build is how quickly will I be able to get my hands on it. You see, jobs are suspended and the whole nation is lockdown due to COVID. So No job = No salary = No PC An end game PC, which technically everyone can own, would probably be affordable for me in about a year or two of savings. But yeah I can't wait that long for a pc.
  5. Is that really what RTX does in games? No other pros just cons? I'm from Philippines. $1000 is like Php 50,000 maybe more or less. I can save up for a better CPU/GPU but I have other things to buy as well so I want to settle on those CPU/GPU for my build. I should mention that prices here are WAY more expensive than you might think.
  6. Someone told me to get the RTX 2060 for the build, hence mu choice of GPU though I am open for suggestions. But seriously, what does the “RTX” do in most cases? Because you mentioned “If you really need rtx”
  7. I'm planning to go for the RTX 2060 for the GPU. Will there be any bottleneck issues? It will just be a 1080p gaming if you're curious.
  8. Does that mean I can make the most out of the 3600? I can throw CAD and gaming on it without facing an issue?
  9. Hello. So I'm finalizing my build so that I can buy parts after lockdown but I'm not really a computer nerd nor do I know something about CPU specs and stuff. Which CPU is better? What am I going to do with the build anyway? Mostly gaming. Sometimes I use CAD for my work.
  10. It doesn't automatically boot to recovery mode whenever I try that. What I do get is this message here, but it doesn't do anything and will just turn into another BSOD after seconds
  11. Yeah. I can't get anything done for like 2 weeks now. Anyways, thank you ?
  12. I can't boot to desktop. That's my main concern. But thank you for the help anyway!
  13. When do I press the F8 exactly? When I power on, it shows the ASUS logo twice, then the Windows logo and BSOD. Whenever I try to press F8 as soon as Windows start it only shows me a black screen with a blinking cursor
  14. Is there any other way to enter safe mode when in a boot loop? I can't get to safe mode even using the “turn off then turn on 3 times”. Whenever the Windows logo pops up, 2 seconds later and BSOD again. “Attempting to repair...” doesn't help neither. It just jumps back to BSOD after a couple of seconds. Attempted repairs: •Disconnecting ram/hdd •Boot using USB •Running the system with the battery disconnected
  15. I'm sorry but I didn't quite understand that
  16. Good day. I can't always boot to desktop because I am always greeted by this BSOD after boot. Booting into Safe Mode, deleting Intel HD and Nvidia Graphics drivers do the trick. But after about 5 minutes into doing some stuff on my laptop, it goes into BSOD, again. And the process goes on and on. I should mention that while my screen is black on desktop, I can STILL hear some sounds like something has finished downloading in the background or stuff. Also, immediately after the black screen I heard the system sound like someone pulled a USB drive out of the system. It's a weird sound considering I haven't touched anything. It's like Windows uninstall or installed something on it's own. PS: BSOD is for BLACK screen of death, not the blue one. Thank you. I'm about 96% sure this was because of bad driver because of the following pictures
  17. Edit: pressing F8 while booting up shows a black screen with a blinking cursor...
  18. Getting into Safe Mode is the most common answer by all, but I can't do anything besides watching my laptop infinitely boot into just the BIOS, or showing BSOD whenever I try to change the boot priority. Even if I press F8, it just straight bring me to the BIOS and repeat, again...
  19. Problem is I don't have another system in which I can create a bootable USB drive
  20. After updating my laptop to the latest software, my laptop restarted and it keeps taking me to the BIOS, where the boot loops happen. Disable features and enabling some manage to escape the BIOS boot loop, but BSOD greets me in the end :( I tried contacting ASUS regarding the issue and the only solution they gave me is to bring the unit to the nearest service center, where they probably (and most likely) format my HDD for good. Any help? Thank you so much!
  21. Good day! I'm having a hard time making the project to work perfectly. So far I'm following this video below and I can't control the RC car properly. All it can do is move forward even if I let go of the controller from the smartphone. Can someone help me troubleshoot my problems? Thank you. Code for Arduino and the app is linked below The video: The explanation to the codes as well as the download link of the Android application and code itself is in this site: https://howtomechatronics.com/tutorials/arduino/arduino-robot-car-wireless-control-using-hc-05-bluetooth-nrf24l01-and-hc-12-transceiver-modules/ THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  22. I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to this Arduino thing, what is the effect of the frequencies mentioned above and what are the uses of such things?
  23. Hello. I have this mini-project that I've been doing for a while now. I'm making an RC boat that can be controlled using Bluetooth via a custom Android app. Below is an example picture of the schematic diagram of the connection (PS: Picture is not mine I just found it on Google) and I was thinking if I could change the two (2) HC-05s in the picture with HC-12, a wireless transceiver module that can both transmit and receive data up to 1.8km as stated on some specs sheets. I want to use HC-12 for my project since I need the long-range wireless function of the module, and HC-05 just limits my connection up to a couple of meters away. And as mentioned, I will be controlling the RC boat using an custom Android app. Thank you and have a nice day.
