  1. IDK if this will reach anyone or not, but it seems somewhat important. In the latest LTT latest video "Being an Early Adapter SUCKS", at 9:00 in, shown is a response from Dell falsely stating the firmware on the monitor may only be updated by "trained technical staff at a dedicated service center," and that this is because "the monitor's built in G-sync module requires a special hardware service tool and software". Acer and ASUS both pushed out over-the-air firmware updates for their X35 and PG35VQ (which, IIRC, Linus had as his personal monitor for a short time, after making a video on it. Links here: https://community.acer.com/en/kb/articles/13072-acer-predator-x35-optional-firmware-update & https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1041768/ ), despite having G-sync Ultimate modules installed in both. LTT is one of the only few with the power to look into, address and possibly call out such behavior. Whether it be Dell OR Nvidia, who is unnecessarily restricting users from updating software in some sort of misguided attempt at planned obsolescence, the behavior is unacceptable.
  2. So, I'm looking at building a new PC. Have been for a while. I want to make sure everything will fit without a problem. This is the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jmich96/saved/9W9t8d - Will the NH-D15 fit with both fans, with the RAM installed? - Will I be able to fit 15mm (slim) fans under the GPU? - Is the NF-S12A or the NF-F12 optimal for the rear exhaust fan? Also, the motherboard (as all my reasonably priced options) only has 1 fan header available for a case fan. I'm only left an option to install a fan hub. Is the fan hub in my part list optimal? Can someone link me a smaller (but still reliable) PWM fan hub? I'd really like one I could mount on the rear side of my case, where it is unseen, and plug it into the bottom (not CPU) fan header.
  3. It's fine, I didn't mean to come off as sarcastic.
  4. The Acer Predator X35 is Vesa Certified HDR 1000. It is the same panel as the PG35VQ.
  5. I'm really desperate for help at this point. Reddit has been of no help, Nvidia, Acer and Windows support have all been pointing fingers at one another without any real attempt to help me. LTT Forums are my last hope, PLEASE help me in any way you can! Thank you all! https://imgur.com/a/ckIZ1Nf Shown in this album are my PC hardware, Windows 10 saying my display is not capable of HDR, CyberLink Advisor Tool saying most of my PC is incompatable, one example of a game which I can play in HDR, one example of a game not allowing HDR without it being enabled through Windows and a screenshot showing that I cannot play HDR videos (though the last part is not important to me). https://www.nvidia.com/object/nv-uefi-update-x64.html - I have updated my GPU Firmware with this to allow it to function with my monitor. - My Windows version is 1903 and up to date - My Drivers are all up to date - I've even tried older drivers - I've tried changing my display to 60hz to remove any possible bandwidth limitations introduced by HDR - I am using a DisplayPort 1.4 cable I will respond to the best of my abilities tonight when I wake up for work and while I work. I am truly out of help and do not want to upgrade my GPU till next generation (I would sooner return my monitor). Thank you all again!
