  1. Hi Everyone, After testing a friends graphics card on my pc for him my audio died. None of my aux ports work, my computer can tell that they are connected but no sound comes out (nor the front panel aux ports). I ausumed it was something to do with the drivers and did a heap. I ended up resorting to the 'reset your pc' thing in windows. I reset my pc and guess what, my audio doesnt work still!!! do i need to format my drive and start completely over or is there another solution to this. Thankyou everyone!
  2. Here is the sound settings, i am pretty sure thats all normal (and the second output is the front aux port i think).
  3. Hi Everyone, I am stumped. I just spent the last 2 hours trying to work out why my audio has completely stopped working. Just the other day my audio had been working fine but after I tested a friends GPU on my PC it has been refusing to work (the graphics card didnt work but my computer runs fine and has no damage) . I run an i5 7500 with a gtx 1060 and it has never had any issues. I have checked that my speakers work, reinstalled and tried different audio drivers, and I have made sure that the 'realtech high definition audio' is my default device. But the thing is, the computer detects that there is an aux cord in the green port (as there is actually a cord in it) but it also detects something in the black and in the optical port (even though there is nothing in there and i have cleaned it out) (refer to the picture also). My bluetooth also does not want to conect to my earphones either which is incredibly annoying. Why is all this occuring and how do i fix it? Thankyou everyone
  4. Hi everyone, A friend of myn has a pc and this pc was recently built with some older parts. It has an (these parts were given to us for free just so you know) i7 3770k, 12 gigabytes of ram and a Gt9800 Older 500 gigabyte 7200rpm hard drive He has been experiencing slow downs and extremely long load times in games specifically. I believe this is due to the hard drive. Although i thought i would ask for more opinions as my experience is limited. Thanks, Blake
  5. Thanks, just thought i would check before going ahead and buying everthing
  6. Hello, My friend is looking at buying a new PC, he does not game but he does do some casual video editing so i have recommended him a GT 1030. There is a particular card in which has a DVI port and a hdmi port. I was wondering if this DVI port can be converted without restrictions (without a lower resolution or frame rate) with an adaptor as he has dual Monitors. Thanks (: Ps His monitor is 1080p 60hz
  7. Thanks for having a look
  8. Hello Recently my sister Bought some budget Earbuds. These Earbuds are called smile Jamaica ($30). These Earbuds but they have been playing up. For some reason They are Extremely quiet even at max volume. I have plugged them into multiple devices including my computer Ipad and Phone but they are still quiet. I have also searched online and found no solutions so i was wondering if you guys had any knowledge about this issue?
  9. I should have looked before asking, i think the fan was hitting the cord. Thanks guys
  10. I have a define c by fractal design
  11. I have an i5 7500 with a stock Intel cooler, it is loud and annoying and i dont know how to stop it. If there is not way to stop the clicking noise what is a cheep quiet cpu cooler (keeping in mind that i am not overclocking). Thanks.
  12. does the extra ram on the video card make much difference
  13. Would the extra ram on the graphics card really enhance performance by that much? If i do not get the cooler will my CPU get to hot or will the included fan do the job (without overclocking)
