  1. Regarding the fitting of bigger GPUs, like the Asus ROG Strix in particular, didn't one of the backers manage to fit one in the Sentry? It was shown in update #32 by BlkRazor. EDIT: Found BlkRazor's post about his build at HardForum: https://hardforum.com/threads/sentry-console-sized-gaming-pc-case-project.1832126/page-123 Turns out he had to buy an alternate PCIe adapter as well as clip(?) some of the rivets inside the case in order to fit the Strix in.
  2. Curious to see (to those who already received their Sentry) if there is anyone who used an i7-7700K in their builds. How are the temps? Max stable voltage and overclock? Would you recommend the i7-7700K over the non-K (i7-7700) version for this build, or vise versa? Thanks
  3. Hi guys, I'm planning on making an HTPC build on one of Intel's new Kaby Lake non-K CPUs and I have updated my planned build as according to the responses from my previous post. Updated Parts List: * CPU - Intel i7 7700 * Mobo - Asus Z270i ROG Strix Gaming * CPU Cooler - Noctua L9i * Memory - G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 3200MHz * SSD - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB NVMe SSD * HDD - (2x) WD Black 2.5" 7200RPM * GPU - Asus GTX1070 Founder's Edition * PSU - Corsair SF600 SFX Considering the overall black and silver/grey theme of the build, I would like to ask if I could replace the Noctua L9i's included (pardon my language) shit colored fan, the NF-A9x14 PWM: http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-a9x14-pwm.html Fan Specs: * 92x92x14 * Max RPM - 2200 * dB/A - 19.9 * m³/h - 50.5 * mm H20 - 1.64 * 4-pin PWM with the plain grey colored Noctua NF-B9 Redux 1600 PWM: http://noctua.at/en/products/product-line-redux/nf-b9-redux-1600-pwm Fan Specs: * 92x92x25 * Max RPM - 1600 * dB/A - 17.6 * m³/h - 64.3 * mm H2O - 1.61 * 4-pin PWM And if possible, I would also like to ask which fan would most likely perform better when it comes to cooling my CPU since I don't know how to translate the Redux's higher airflow (CFM) and lower max RPMs as compared to NF-A9x14's into actual cooling performance. I'm leaning towards using the Redux fan as an alternative purely for aesthetic reasons, but I would still like to know the difference between the fans Thanks in advance, and best regards.
  4. Hi guys, I'm planning on making an HTPC build on one of Intel's new Kaby Lake non-K CPUs. I was wondering what would be the best possible specs for the memory which would be compatible with my system: * CPU - Intel i7 7700 * Mobo - MSI Z270i Gaming Carbon Pro AC * CPU Cooler - Noctua L9i * SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 * HDD - (2x) WD Black 2.5" 7200RPM * GPU - MSI GTX1070 Founder's Edition * PSU - Corsair SF600 SFX Thinking of using a (2x8GB) 16GB memory configuration and I'm currently undecided with the following selection with regards to their compatibility and performance: * Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz CL14 * Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHz CL16 Both of the configurations are pretty much at the same price point so budget won't be a problem. Was also wondering if there would be any issues in choosing memory modules with higher speeds, like a 3200Mhz one for example, since they specified in Intel's product page that the i7 7700 can only support 2133MHz and 2400Mhz, but at the same time, the MSI Z270i Carbon motherboard supports speeds up to 3800MHz. As such, what would be the maximum memory speed compatible with an i7 7700 without having to overclock the CPU (since I obviously can't with a non-K skew). Would very much appreciate any advice and suggestions. Thanks in advance
  5. I feel like this has been answered before but just to confirm, is using the Cryorig C7 as the CPU cooler really such a bad move in building in the Sentry? I originally planned on reusing the one in my current build. But if it really is a no-go, I might plan on buying the Noctua L9i instead.
  6. Oh yeah, just checked out Entropay. I think that method would work best for me. Quick question though, do they charge the 4.95% fee immediately after topping up? meaning that I'll have to load up my prepaid CC an additional 4.95% in order to zero out any deductions on my target value?
  7. That's too bad. Thing is, I live in the Philippines and I have already loaded up my prepaid CC with the sufficient funds to cover the payment of both a Sentry unit as well as the shipping fee (+79usd for Philippines). And I know I'm at fault for not reading up on how Indiegogo doesn't accept prepaid CCs as a mode of payment, but that's the only thing I can manage considering that I'm still a student and could not apply for an official CC. Guess the next thing I'll do is somehow refund the credit from my prepaid CC and just ask someone I know to pay in my stead. Thanks for the input by the way.
  8. Hi @ZombiPL @SaperPL, Can you enable paying through PayPal in your Indiegogo campaign? I only have a prepaid value card, and the only way for indiegogo to accept any sort of payment from it is through PayPal. I originally planned on purchasing a single Black Sentry early on but had some CC problems. So it seems like I'll be buying one in the long run if ever you do allow PayPal transactions. Which I really hope you do cause I want a sentry so bad :'(
  9. The countdown for the indiegogo campaign is finally up on their site!!! http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/
  10. @ZombiPL just curious, will there be an option to choose the LED color of the power buttons? If not, what type of switches are they just in case someone would like to replace it
  11. I hope Linus makes a comparison video whether using a blower style GPU would work better in a case like this or not. I'm thinking of using my old MSI GTX1070 Gaming X but i'm not sure if the temps would be desirable since it uses an open air cooler
  12. If you really want that much storage, you can try out the mini version of the Gigabyte GTX 1070 (which I think is absolutely perfect for this case) so you can have room for the hdd/ssd storage rack on the GPU compartment. You can either run RAID or simply have more storage space that way Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GDDR5-Graphics-GV-N1070IXOC-8GD/dp/B01JD2OSX0/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1475844058&sr=1-1&keywords=gigabyte+1070+mini
  13. When can we expect an announcement regarding the Sentry's price point? And regarding the product's shipping upon production, will international shipping be provided or will it be exclusive to certain countries only?
