Let me rephrase...I keep breaking the cord. Usually I fall asleep with my headphones on and over time the cord just gives. Braided cords can't even handle the things that happen when I sleep. I'd like to just repair the stack of 4 headphones that have messed up cords, but maybe one day I'll go deaf in one ear and they can become useful. I've got about $150 US and all I really want is some quality sound with a damn replaceable cord.

Looks decent, someone suggested this http://www.amazon.com/10000mAh-Dual-Port-Compact-External-Portable/dp/B009USAJCC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408170675&sr=8-1&keywords=anker+power+bank and it's a lot cheaper but I'd have to buy not only the older mini usb cable, but also the AC adapter.

I'm looking for a decent probably 10,000mAh portable power supply for my Raspberry Pi to use on the go. It'd be nice if it came included with a mini usb cable (not the 3.0) and included the actual charging cable (according to reviews, some don't). I'm hoping there's someone on the forum that's done this before that can maybe give me a little more information. I'm hoping to be able to run this for 5+ hours while also using a large USB WifI adapter on the Pi. Maybe 10,000mAh is too much, or maybe it's too little. I have no idea. Any ideas?

Am I basically able to get a decent quality usb adapter and throw on a larger antenna? That would be ideal but there are probably issues with power? Wifi isn't my area of expertise.

My only problem with that is not knowing exactly how to use it..? I was thinking something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833281006 but again it looks more complicated than just plugging it in and going.

I need a USB Wifi adapter that can reach some pretty far distances. All I can find are some cheap ones, but Im looking for something more powerful. Does anyone know of a strong long range adapter? I've seen some usb adapters that are meant for outdoor use that my do the trick. My range is about $100 USD, but if I found something for half that price I'd pick it up.

Thank you a bunch I've tried setting this up for a few days and I guess it just took knowing the right program to use! I'll set it up now and come back with (hopefully good) results.

I have no experience with ffmpeg is it able to re-stream from rtsp to rtmp?

I have an IP camera sending out an rtsp stream locallly @ rtsp://10.0.0.10:7070 and Im able to view it through VLC. I know that if I start a stream I can add the rtsp as a video source. My question is how can I both add that rtsp source and stream it my rtmp server locally @ rtmp://10.0.0.11:1935/live ? In the end Im looking to play the rtmp stream on different websites with a flashplayer of some sort. If you can help me out with this or give me any other ideas that'd be great!

Recently I setup an ACTi IP cam that supports rtsp to go on my website. I don't neccesarily want to use a Quicktime or VLC plugin so I figured I would set up a crtmpserver to grab the rtsp://<Cam.Ip>:7070 and send it out as the rtmp://<Server.Ip>/live/stream and send it to JWPlayer, but it's not working. I've checked all of my ports to make sure my network wasn't the porblem. I checked to make sure I can pickup the camera via rtsp on both VLC and Quicktime player (desktop apps) to make sure the camera was streaming on rtsp. I figure the issue is in my configuration file: Crtmpserver.lua: externalStreams = { { uri="rtsp://<Cam.Ip>:7070", localStreamName="stream", }, } HTML Page: <div id="jwplayer_1">Loading the player ...</div> <script type='text/javascript'> jwplayer('jwplayer_1').setup({ file: 'rtmp://10.0.0.10/live/stream', title: 'Harrisburg Boat Dock', width: '720', height: '480', autostart: 'true' }); </script> I figured I could just deal with using the quicktime or vlc web plugin but neither of them are displaying the stream either.. Is there another way I can set this IP cam to go on my webpage?

I have Windows Server 2012 for my server right now, but I'm finding that everything I use on it has to be setup in Hyper-V with Ubuntu Server. Is setting up multiple virtual machines going to be efficient on my hardware, or am I better off just installing Ubuntu completely? I can't think of anything I would miss at all about Windows Server, besides the desktop enviroment which I can get with Ubuntu's Desktop.

My favorite thing about the G550JK? If the fact that it was on top of a mountain breaking world records doesn't count, then I'm gonna go with the backlit keyboard and the brushed aluminum finish.

I won't need any storage other than the SSD and I'm in the United States.
