  1. Looks like the "hp bracket" thing is referring to where the screw hole that connects the graphics card to the case is. The graphics card on the image you linked has that hole reversed.
  2. I recently bought a Quadro p1000 for a sff build and upon receiving the graphics card I noticed one of the components on the back is chipped. I don’t know enough to identify what it is or what its function is. I tested the card playing Gta 5 and it seemed to run fine, but I’m wondering if this damage could cause issues in the future. The seller I bought it from offers free returns so I can still return it if I need to.
  3. I've been researching parts for a build running Windows 8.1 and I'm wondering if anyone here has experience running Broadwell-E on Windows 8.1 or Windows 7. Intel's Product Compatibility Tool (Intel® Product Compatibility Tool) is useless because it skips over 68xx/69xx non-mobile CPUs. I ask this because Microsoft purposefully disabled Windows update from running on Kaby Lake and newer CPUs on systems running 8.1 and 7 as well as almost dropping support for Sky lake in 2017 (till they rolled back those plans). Given that Broadwell-E is technically a generation newer than Sky lake, I'm skeptical that it's supported despite having a 6xxx series name. I would just go with a 5960x but I'd like the uplift in IPC that a 6900k or a 6950x would give.
  4. Hi, I've spent hours looking for a 1080p gaming monitor (high refresh rate, low response time, etc.) that has four modern inputs (why are companies still including vga on their monitors) and my search has come up mostly empty. My desk is small so I'm also trying to get one under 27 inches. Am I just terrible at searching or is what I'm looking for really that uncommon? The only monitor I have found that meets my needs is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088VMY23M/?coliid=I3TBBW74JI2Z03&colid=2APQVIRM1METU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it The issue is, since this monitor is so cheap I'm worried it's going to be a monitor that will die in a year or two, and I'm looking for something that will hold up to lots of use. TLDR: I need help finding a monitor that is: 1080p (preferable under 27 inches) Uses HDMI or Display port and has four inputs Has low response time and high refresh rate
  5. Had this happen to me, but windows automatically rolled back the update after a couple restarts.
