Mobo's these days are starting to go the this will do method & yeah the windows fast boot thingymebob. Is a little of putting. I miss the old days when that guy from Asus would go over to say Linus / Jayztocents so forth & walk throw all the sick new stuff they had. They cared back then nowa days it's like they got it it'll work & pay us. Hate to see where it's at in 10 years time from now, for Mobo's & Windows god help us.

Gotta say this for op, im yet to see anything or a game max out with my 13600k. Unless benching it. i may hit 70% like a sim game. Planet Coaster Def not that ive seen in games like GTA V. 5.6ghz 1.270v very stable Overclock here. at around 80oc temp in benching but lower in games. Im going to say that a CPU upgrade is not a good decision at the moment. It's going to last you a very long time & be a very able chip. I had no choice really 7months ago & got this Cpu after having the 7600k for a long time. Before that i had the 3570k before that 1 Q9450. Only had like 4 main Cpu's. With that said the 7600k was still able to play GTA V. but just lol so i had to upgrade you don't have to. For my self i never go top spec on any thing for my pc just so it works with some head room to play with. for things like play music or watch a movie whilest gaming. Anyway you are more then fine for a fair few years to come.

Any damage no, however over time as fans age (depending) if they are ball bearings or fluid run. Tho after all these years of having built my own pc ive never came across a fan fail on me. Call it luck i don't know but r Oh sorry 1 did years back. so yeah go for it. Try a low fan curve & you will be more then fine.

Corsair air 540 case sitting here. ASUS Z270 Prime-AR 7600k DDR4 ram in it as well & the cpu block in it, in the box. ( thinking of a server build not sure yet or win 7 build ) for DRM Games. Damn you Windows. spare water cooling parts. ( kinda need them tho ) Case fans. Cables. Just found a P8Z77-V LK. i Just chucked out about 15 Bitfenix fans as i loved those fans, they looked amazing. was using them fans for the p8z77 I5 3570k build back in the day. Wish i kept the cpu & ram for that. Ive done a nerdy speadsheet with Wordpad PC Parts List 1. So i can keep track of what ive got. Saves looking around & can save money as well. Oh ive all ready got that damn it. I dislike that happening to me so it's the reason i do that. Not sure if i can share that in here. mehh nvm.

Yeah i agree it's not needed, i use 13600k & was contemplating on getting 1 for mine. But yeah no im not even gonna bother im happy with what it does & where it can get to. it is a bit of a finicky thing to deal with even with my water cooling with 4 rads to even think of messing around with the CPU & MOBO no thanks. Im sure it's not going to improve my temps to get what ? 5.8ghz no im fine with lower voltage 1.270v 5.6GHZ stable Overclock. But as Kilah mentioned if you are a serious tweaker then it has benefits, but so marginal im not even sure it could gain that extra (yes the temps go down a wee bit). These cpu's are plentiful anyway for normal use like gaming, well it's how i see it coming from my last Cpu 7600k. I just find it now a waste of time, unless it really isn't sitting on the socket 100% even then...

Have you tried re,seating the gpu. I had an issue once b4 a long time ago with my 460, that needed to be re,seated. This can't hurt tho id try that out. Make sure it's connected in the slot correctly, & yes some of the seasoned vets on computing makes mistakes, i have as well. How ever if this persists if you have warranty do that, as it could be a soldering issue. Flow solder or so i think it's called, i had to as well with the 460 literally bake it in the oven to get it from this exact issue However Don't you do this at all. Let the Experts advise you & ask you things as well. As they know best & better then me. Tho i simple re,seating can't hurt it, just make sure the system is powered down. Hope you get it working to it's former glory as i know my self it's a pain to think it dead when it may not be. So all the best on it. Also they will ask for pics / screen shots.

Im waiting on Arc Battlemage If the prices are to go by like recent ARC then it'll be a worth while fun experience to see it evolve after the launch as well. & not to mention they learned a ton so far & are keeping things updated. yes they are not Nvidia or AMD tho the price tags are something to think about. Also the performance works rather well & is near on par. Especially if you are like me probs not tho are running a old gpu like a 10 series mines older a 970 so this for me would be a metric ton better. However if you like a certain brand then do that & good on ya. People back performance over price these days to much to then pay the price, we need to hit them where it hurts. & support the underdog. Just my thoughts on it go for what You Want not me or others mention as that's probs what they want or have. Gotta think the price vs how long are you going to own it for. Flipping it after a year for the next 1 that comes out works as well. Im just that person that don;t like getting top of the line cpu's & gpu's & work on overclocks that'll make up some of the need. Like with my cpu's my last was a 7600k 4.8ghz now ive got a 13600k 5.6ghz Man was that an upgrade i loved doing & needed it. Thing is for me i need a waterblock to go with a gpu so it lasts very long like my 970 still is. & that's with bios hacking & maxing it out. So if you eve go with something less it still will work. Look for the vids that say would this or that card last in todays games or so. They actually hold up pretty well ay. Anyway careful on the pocket, get what works that's it. Im not a fan of this errr you only got that you can't play this or this mannn - yeah you can actually. Hope it all works out well & find that price deal that works for you. & get back to us to let us know what you ended up with.

I have never used a "Soft Tube Cutter" for soft tubing. A pair of thick scissors or Hobby scissors are best. It's all i use. Since you will never see the cut (as it's inside the compression fitting) no point in getting the cuts straight (as it can assist ill explain below) & also not needed Unless it's for some 1 that has hand issues or is an older person with arthritis or such then yes. Also it will save you some money. With say after a few cuts you will get it. I have never had to resort in getting an additional box due to this. That's only when i do my yearly clean, so new tubing new color. It's also great to use scissors as you can intentionally make a cut on an angle to assist in making a straight route more straight. As the tubing comes coiled in it's box. That is a trick i do to get wonderful straights. This however it harder to achieve the longer you go, tho it is doable of up to 30cm. In my years of using soft tubing. Going any further then 30cm well these routes for me is when the tubing is going into the lower compartment like PSU section of the case. With that said later on you could also ( if needed & want to ) you can get pass thru's they are great. So hope that helps as well.

For all the yrs of doing water cooling, what i do & know is this: as long as there is enough rads to cool the system your loop order matters not. I run a pump to 90 deg rotary no issues so im not sure on why it's not recommended. In terms of 2 pumps to 1 line i see no point as well, i did think of doing once tho to find out it's not a real improvement to the temps. But this is me. only thing i could think is your not using the standard G1/4 fitting & using a smaller diameter. Tho i don't see any 1 ever doing this. ive ran a system with out the jet plates as well to see, mehh more or less the same still, slightly lower temps with them on. But im no expert & only have worked on mine so i can only say what i know.

Cooling: 3x EK-Quantum Surface S420, wow that may be a fit issue. But don't quote me on this as im not familiar with this case at all. P.S. that's a lot of rad, & you'll never need to ad any more after this. I mean you could but really no need to other then bragging rights. If you can fit 1 up top another on the side & final 1 layered on the bottom & it fits with fittings, then your in the house mate. That build will be nice and cool, tho do have the room set at a good ambient temperature, as then over clocks will be nice to have. Best to check the actual size & detentions of the rads prior to getting them 1st. Just to make sure, as there would be nothing but pure agony to get them & they don't go in the case. Man that would suck. MOBO/CPU: no need what so ever to get the 14gen Cpu's as 13th gen will be just fine. Save some bucks & go for a z790 a 13th gen cpu & say a 4000 mhz ram or 5000mhz ram. With my new build i put in 3200mhz ram, & yeah no issues no need for it for me, as im only youtube, gaming, watching movies from files & that normal jazz. 14th gen is no real gain, it kinda is in some chips but yeah not worth the bread & butter at all. Even a 12th gen cpu will be fine. PSU: Well if you want it as it's a 1000w & not 850w or a number under a 1000, then go for it id say. i got a 1000w in mine since 2016 still goes good never ever reached the 1000w. my system runs around probs a guess 600w max gives it plenty of room to still stay cool. No fan running on it. But this is up to you, id say yes as it will last years like mine still is from Corsair. It's a bit of a big build you got planed but do watch as many as possible vids on youtube to make sure this is the road you want to go down on. & everything i said take it as (if this was me) not as advise. See the selection of stuff your wanting to get could be done, 1 better, 2 cheaper, & 3 not getting stuff you really don't need. Watch the vids others in here will advise you as well. Oh & also look around in this forum as well to see similar build questions like this 1, you may end up finding some more answers. Good luck with it all, ask away for questions. 1stly can you achieve what you want with air cooling ? If the answer is no & still want to get into it then a water cooling kit is how i started & built of from that. Are you just like, im done with AIO & air cooling ? i knew i was back in the day. Tho srsly, do you actually want to do it & or need this. For me im in Australia & it gets hot as F so i know i need it. You may even be able to get away with a better type of AIO for the pc. There's a cost factor that's gone up over the yrs like no tomorrow, my old kit was i guess $450 or something today's ones are like way more. As RGB this & that & cost hikes so on. Fittings alone can cost an arm & a leg. Side note: for me i love soft tubing as it's just much more easy to work with. Ill never go hardline ever. What brands do you like, Stop.... Go watch as much as you can on the good old Youtube to see what you like with brands & such. But remember another side note: each loop must have a tap or you will be in a world of pain as it will be spilling all over the joint. Cooling both cpu & the gpu how many rads can / will you fit in the case you got what is it ?? Few things to keep in mind: For all of this is a global standard as G1/4" = 10/13 thread. Stick to this id say. . Pump ?? . Reservoir ?? . Radiators ?? . Tubing/hardline tubing ?? . Fittings ?? so many different types of fittings. 45 Degree 90 Degree rotary fittings, extenders, . Coolant - Color - Pastel - clear colors. . Fans ?? these get fans for rads static pressure known as SP. AF is for air flow, as these fans are for no resistance. IE a Rad. . Cpu block ?? . Gpu block .....( these can some what be a mental screamfest to understand what 1 matches the gpu) . Have a lot of time for doing the process ( i take 2 days ) Taking time to . Get ready for some sore fingers tightening them fittings ( by hand only) or it will crush the O-rings. Unless it's really hard to tighten it down. Hard to get to location, ill use an allen key. slight kick tight with them or crushing the O-ring can come into effect. Don 't worry to much on the order the loop must follow, pump to gpu then cpu then rads then res. no no no any way you like. What's your current specs: all of it. Sorry for the long post ill leave it there, as this is the just some things. Don't ever feel like it's to much slowly get the stuff if $ is an issue. & make sure this is something you want to get into not for just looks or bragging rights. Hope this helps some what.

Ive been thinking of some outdoor solutions as well, tho going into the ground then bury it incased in a metal box running thru rads. tho not sure how deep id have to dig in order to find those really cold temps. Vs to cold & condensation. ive been thinking of this for yrs now tho havn't seen any 1 do it. vs If it's even worth it. Tho id love to get really cool temps for why not. & to experiment. Im not sold on it at all. Also pumps. EDIT: the crazy sh*t we think about to get our gear cooled down haha.

I don't use Occt any more i use to tho, i now use R-23 for my stability tests. If they pass there on R-23 then i know it's good. But that's after a Full Run. A quick 5min test run gives me in indicator of where it's at. How ever others here may say to try other tests as well. 7600K i used Occt not now, as for me i tend to think it's a bit of an old program for newer cpu's.

1stly you havn't done anything wrong. Try stock clocks at 1.100v to start with, then slowly work your way up. Undervolting is key for temps. This is how i achieved a better overclock. & only used R-23. if stable after 5 min each test, it should be stable. Full run to be sure. Stock settings like clock speeds & stock voltage are both way to high. Mobo companies do it like this so the CPU can hit the cpu targets the cpu states it can do. This is why we see this issue a lot on the forum. Hence why we all will say undervolting is key. & it works wonders. & even with my 5.7ghz on mine is again with an undervolt on my 13600k. I can get 5.8ghz on mine tho then ill get to stock 96oC (& thermal trottling) & also just under stock voltages. & that's with a custom loop running 4 rads. With your 360 AIO id imagine a 5.2-5.4 over clock should be achievable at around 80-85oC if not lower, in R-23 & running games. Have in mind that your only going to achieve, what your cooler can do. Some thermal grizzly paste a contact plate maybe. Better cooling possibly. Id say invest in a better option, when ever you can. & then this is vs the ambient temperature in the room the pc is in. Need help with this, the forum can help you a lot with it. Don't ever feel like a dummy to ask even i had to in the past as well. As we all want every 1 to get the best out of there systems like we do. EDIT: Leave the E-Cores at 3.2 that's it. Or even set it to 3.0 you not ever going to notice it really. I didn't.

As this pc is mainly for Editing & Rendering (Gaming 2nd) this build changes some what. & my suggestions stop as others can be more of a help. So Ram can be a factor as well as the Mobo now (possibly). Even the CPU choice. Don't worry tho the forum will assist.

Should use ? well for pumps & a res, id suggest you watch a fair few youtube vids to see what you like. Not only it will teach you a thing or 2. But you will instantly know what look you like. Jayztwocents is the 1st person. Company's: there are a lot. Corsair - Thermaltake - EK - Singularity Computers - Bykski - Alphacool to name a few. I Would suggest seeing if you would like a pump/res combo or would you like to do it separate. As this can be done as well. Some can be cheap & perform well enough some can be expensive as well. Key Note tho: make sure the pump is good. When it comes to a res it's mostly how much water it can hold & looks. Pump reliability is crucial. D5's are the common go to. Hope this helps. What i use is an All EK System, but you may like some 1 else. & this is fine, as this is for you & your own coin. If you want put the name of what you are thinking & the forum can help you if it's good or not. Watch a lot of vids take your time.

Hi & welcome to the Forum. NO:1 With the CPU i have it also, & would suggest an AIO at least a 360 size rad (this case can fit it). As temps for this Little Beast of a CPU can get rather high. Even for me on custom water cooling. (are you planning on Overclocking it?) Later on when the build is done the Fourm can assist you in lowering temps & get it going with great over clocks. NO:2 ASUS has been a horrid suggestion these days, so i would suggest a Gigabyte mobo. Also what is your daily use of the pc gaming only or workload editing as well ?. NO:3 (this is up to you) tho see if you can get a 4x8 gb kit for the ram this way it's complete & will look nice if you go with RGB. Even if you get 2 now & to later it may help. Other then that As Hinjima said.

This is great. good to find another soft tubing person like my self. They just make life better. You may want to put a fan next to the pump if you can to try to keep it cool. Don't have to but i would as they get hot, the heatsink on them. But what ever man that's a clean build. Bit of air in the loop i saw tho that will make it's way out eventually.
