    Fix Damaged PCB Traces

While it might be possible to remove some of the solder mask and solder a bridge wire across the damaged sections, I wouldn't bother. One, you are likely to cause even more damage in the process. Especially if it's your first time attempting the repair with some very delicate traces. Two, did you notice those traces are all squiggly? They do that so that all of the high bandwidth traces are exactly the same length even though they are going to different pins on the RAM. They have to be the exact length because at those frequencies you can get a lot of timing errors if they aren't the same. A repair will likely change the length of the repaired traces and even if it does detect the memory and make it usable again, you're likely to start getting weird issues after running your system for awhile. Either keep using it as is, or buy a new (used?) board. That board is less than $50 on eBay.
  2. I agree with the XPS. You'll want that extra battery life for classes. Also, avoid the 4k display versions. It's a waste of money. You won't be able to drive games at 4k and it will only reduce battery life even further. Not to mention all of the persistent scaling issues in Windows.

    Finally broke 25M points!
  4. I'm pretty sure anyone that has watched his channel just assumes that already! Seriously good show guys!

Okay, according to the GPU Projects PPD Database my 1080 ti should destroy a Titan X. However, a Titan X (Pascal) and the Titan Xp will beat the 1080 ti slightly. They have the 1080 ti listed at 1.3M PPD @ 2009Mhz. I'm getting close to that at stock speeds. Perhaps this list is out of date? Which Titan X are you using?

Thank you. That helped quite a bit. Still not reaching 3M but holding steady at about 2.36M after they started working on the Beta WU's.

Okay, so I paused CPU folding and my PPD went from 1.7M to 1.9M. It appears my GPU's are boosting higher without the CPU heating up my intake air (through the front rad). I really need to get those things under water but I just don't have the $600 I'd need to get the stuff. Might look into the EK modular stuff. Not as nice as my old hard line build but at least it'll be cool. Edit: Still not sure where you think I should be getting 3M+ PPD. While the cards do sit at 85c they are boosting past default.

Core clocks look okay. Not sure how to switch to beta WU's though. And yes, I know I'm running stock speeds. I have FE cards and plan on water cooling them eventually.

I'll have to see if I'm throttling. I know my GPU's are hitting 85 C. That shouldn't be too hot. I'll check my clocks when I get a chance.

With both GPU's and my CPU it looks like 1.7M points per day. I don't run them all the time though. GPU's are stock reference cards, CPU is running on 16 threads of 20. Should I be averaging more than that?

Broke 100 WU while I was at work today! I've got that silver badge in my sights. Hope to hit 25M by Easter.

    Folding Community Board

That's actually pretty good hardware, if a bit dated. You might look into a used GTX 10 series to hold you over for a year or two. I don't think I could drop that RTX tax into a system that old.

16 Hours?? That sucks. What are you folding on?

Smoking Barrels - LTT's Unnofficial Gun Club!

https://asp.arkansas.gov/services-and-programs/detail/concealed-handgun-licensing "Effective August 16, 2013, the State of Arkansas acknowledges all concealed handgun carry licenses lawfully issued by another state." You will be required to abide by the laws of the State you travel to. Not the State in which the license or permit was issued. Might be a good idea to peruse the statutes for that State and any State you'll be travelling through. A few years ago a man was arrested here in Ohio for walking into a courthouse and asking where he should check his firearm.
