  1. Hi, I am quite a newcomer to the networking scene, I need to setup a pfSense router to work as my main router in my home network. I have all the necessary information to set up a home-use router (namely Asus RT-N18U) but I can't figure out some things. I need to setup WAN IP, we have a static WAN. I already got through 'Enter the new WAN IP address' and 'Subnet mask'. Now I am stuck on the third question, 'For a WAN, enter the new WAN IPv4 upstream gateway address'. I think that this should be where the 'Default Gateway' should go, but when I enter the values given by our ISP, it shouts 'not in subnet!'. I really don't know what should I put there, so I wrote it here. Thanks for ANY answers Ondřej Pekárek
  2. I think that I am one of those only ones that have this much asymetric connection
  3. This build looks OK and the memory seems like an easy choice for me, go for the 16G one.
  4. But for better quality photos, the Pixel is a better choice.
  5. Oh, where do you live? In Czech Republic we have a computer store on every big street
  6. Maybe try to find a store where they'll lend it to you for a test, and give the lite one a try.
  7. It's possible that the power button has separate connector, did you wire it as the manual says?
  8. In Czech Republic, the LR (UBNT UniFi AP LR) ones cost the same as 2.4/5GHz AP AC Lite.
  9. I have the LR ones, I also used the Lite version for a test, and it couldn't go through ceramic bricks, so I would go for those LR ones. How much they cost when compared to LR ones?
  10. How big is your house then and isit built from bricks?
  11. It all depends on your usecase, it would be helpful if you write down your usecase here. And for the cheapest place, tell us your location.
  12. Did you wire it to the mobo correctly?
  13. And you have cca 240 bucks for... (I dunno) a keyboard
  14. So something like this. Crucial BX200 240GB SSD WD RED 2TB HDD for little bit more performance, or just a Blue one.
