Computer intermittently refuses to post, help!
Jonboy12 replied to Jonboy12's topic in Troubleshooting
Hmm, I did turn it off from the switch in the back and turn it back on but I don't know for how long I would think when I was removing components to eliminate one of them being bad it would have been off for long enough but I don't know. I didn't want to cheap out on a power supply I also didn't want to go to insane I think this is a good model this is the one I have "be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W cm, BN628, Modular, 80 Plus Gold, Power Supply" -
I followed all of the pinned instructions in the post about computer not turning on at all It's working now but it's broken down twice and I don't know what to do I need this computer for work. When it's acting up, if I push the power button nothing happens absolutely nothing not even the fan spinning completely dead. Using a power supply tester all the voltages were in the correct range. I checked to make sure it wasn't the power button in the case and that didn't help I pulled every single component out of that computer except for the RAM and the fan still would not spin up First time it happened shorted out the reset pins on the motherboard and it started working again. Second time it happened this was no help, it was non-responsive and wouldn't do anything I don't have another motherboard to swap out so I brought it to a repair shop to have them try that, But they didn't have the same problem I did of course the computer booted up no problem for them. They wanted me to bring in my hard drive to see if my hard drive was keeping the computer from posting which does not seem likely, especially as the computer didn't respond at all even when the hard drives were removed and disconnected I didn't include my hard drive when giving it to the repair shop I didn't want any of my software or data messed with I don't know if that's paranoid. He also said the power in the area where I was living wasn't known for being great it was kind of dirty. Help would be greatly appreciated I have 16 GB of RAM 64-bit architecture no operating system no hard drive 500 watt power supply I'm using an AMD ryzen 5 3600

advice on how to remotely access a TCP IP device securely and simply?
Jonboy12 replied to Jonboy12's topic in Networking
I'm a little confused but what you're asking I'm sorry. I'm okay with the device being on that network but I need to be able to send and receive TCP IP on a specific port, it doesn't need access to any of the rest of my home network. my home network is not the same as my work network if that's what you're asking? -
Sorry I'm a software developer but I've never really gotten too much in the networking things,. There's a TCP IP device on my work Network that need to be able to access remotely. Currently what I'm doing to access it remotely isCurrently what I'm doing to access it remotely is Remote controlling my desktop at work but this is a clunky solution for development. the device is a scientific instrument with weird requirements and private documentation so that's why I'm not listing a specific model name. it will be very good if I could control this TCP IP device remotely, but I don't know what to use, I played around with Himiachi, but I don't know thank you so much for your help

I was out and about and my phone had about 60% charge when the screen went black and wouldn't recover, even after multiple attempts to hard reset. this left me stranded but I did get home eventually, (no car long way from home) Once when I turned it on it came back on for a minute and then shut back off, another time oh, I got random color pixels on the screen. Now it's been like 3 days, and it seems like about every 12 hours or so it will turn itself on again (still with a black screen) end make this noise. ( for those who don't want to click the link if they chiming sound, not one I can remember hearing before) a clip of the sound [https://imgur.com/a/hsV2hAK](https://imgur.com/a/hsV2hAK) (or see mp3 below) no I don't live in the abyss, just New York which is close enough anyway. the video is potato quality because I'm using a piece of crap $40 Android phone off Amazon so I can get this guy fixed. any help would be greatly appreciated If I had to guess about what happened to it, maybe a charger I use wasn't the best quality which is deeply ironic because I usually make sure to buy high-quality charge Brands but I was in a rush and grabbed the first thing I saw in my messy apartment that would do the job. which turned out to be a free USB charger that came with a cat water fountain the sound my phone makes .mp3

On the surface of it it looks like the Moto phones really don't have any kind of commitment to software update so I could be wrong. See processor speed and process node is better on old pixel. battery life is guaranteed he doesn't admit it, but one of the few things he does on his phone is take pictures and I know that in $150 price range pixel 3A can't be beat the ones I checked even had a less up-to-date Android version then the old pixel3a the one I'm looking at is it when your warranty. but I'm I missing something here? There has to be some utility in the new phone over the old one

Jonboy12 replied to Jonboy12's topic in General Discussion
