  1. Hello! i was wondering if a gtx 1070 would fit in my case, i've been wanting to upgrade for a while, but i'm not sure if it will fit in there. NOTICE: Measuremens are in metric. Cooler master elite 334U case. Height 427mm Width 193mm Depth 494mm GTX1070 (MSI gaming x) Height 42mm Width 140mm Length 279mm I apologize for any spelling errors i may have made. Thanks for the help!
  2. Thanks for the info, it's a IPS panel, and i won't be doing any color accurate work at all, maybe some keying here and there, but that's about it.
  3. I was looking at the dell inspiron 7577's screen, and according to dave lee the SRGB is on 75%, i'm not sure what the percentage of the adobeRGB was, but is that good enough for video editing? i don't do color accurate work, just keying and editing for work, wanted to know if it's good enough for that, because i've been wanting that laptop for a while now, but couldn't really make the jump.
  4. Make sure your resolution is on 1920x1080 and that resolution scaling is on 100%, i have a similliar PC, i7 4770k, gtx970, 8gb of ram, and i run this game on high settings without any trouble at all. IF your monitor resolution is higher than that, say 2560x1440, drop it down to 1920x1080 or lower your graphics settings.
  5. I was looking to buy this, but i'm holding off till reviews are here, i really hope the screen is good enough for some gaming and video editing on the side. Please Dell, don't screw that up again.
  6. I would gladly pay for the gtx1060MQ version, that laptop would come in very handy at my work, so i can have my own video editing PC, and gaming during lunch breaks
  7. Hey all, so i was planning to build a whole new AMD rig with their Vega 56, i also a quite nice freesync display from samsung, it's also 144hz, now my question is, is Freesync worth it, or shall i just stick to pure 144HZ without any of that trickery?
  8. It's running at 4.2ghz, intel XTU also says so. Extremely happy with this!
  9. After i resetted my PC (because it was about time) i decided to go tinker with my motherboard bios, i noticed a 'max performance' setting, so i turned it on, also turned chassis and CPU fan on turbo cuz y'know, why not. My motherboard is a asus B85M-G (First PC here, pre-assembled by a shop, will do next one myself and make sure its an ATX board) and my CPU is an i7 4770k. I noticed in task manager that my CPU clock speed was boosted to 4.2ghz, and i was suprised, i couldn't reach that speed normally on this motherboard since it's not an overclockable chipset. So i went into gaming, with my gtx970 being our humble assistant, first Battlefield 1, with MSI afterburner for stat tracking, CPU never went above 70C and everything is rock solid stable (Cooler master hyper 212 evo for the epic win) Other games? No problem! Now my question is, would it be safe to leave it on this mode and let the CPU run above 4ghz on this chipset, or would it be wiser to reset it back to it's 3.50 ghz? (3.9ghz actually, as i used intel XTU to set the cpu to perma turbo boost) Thanks in advance for the answers!
  10. It's a german brand, over 82% effeciency, it did it's job just fine but it just irritates me that i cannot find a replacement cable. Another €65 down the drain..
  11. Well, it turns out i'll just have to invest in a new one. My current PSU is a MS-Tech, 750 watts, it has served me well but i cannot find any cables for it.
  12. Soo during careful removal to install a new CPU cooler (which was a real b$%#@) to install, my cpu power cable broke, luckily my PSU is modular, so i can just replace it with a new 12V cable that goes into the PSU and the CPU power pins, BUT, i can't find any of these anywhere in the netherlands, all i get are extension cables, or 4-pin cpu power cables without the 12V cable for the PSU. I am at my wits end, where can i find such cables? or will i have to save up for an entire new PSU?
  13. Radioactive Snowman, as far as i know gaming laptops have come a long way, i don't mind not being able to upgrade the cpu/gpu, and i don't mind playing some games in lower detail. But it's still a tough decision to make for me..
  14. I'm torn between choosing one of these. With a gaming laptop, i'll end up buying quite an expensive machine, but i do have a big steam library. With a Nintendo switch, i can play my favorite nintendo games on the go, but there are only four i am interested in, and games will cost a bit more. I wanted to ask you all for advice, which would make more sense for me? i like nintendo, but i also like pc gaming. Thanks for the advice!
  15. Alright, i'll have to look further then, but it seems a laptop with a 1050TI might be my best choice. The dell inspiron and HP omen are still top tier contenders for me, i can deal with a not-so-great TN panel, after all, cant be worse than my current laptop. To be clear, my chosen fx502VM model had an IPS screen, but if cooling is indeed an issue, i won't buy it. Thanks for the help!
