  1. Hey all,

I'm trying to install a KR02 CPU cooler on my motherboard but can't seem to get it to fit. Do I need custom mounting brackets?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Specs...

CPU Cooler: SilverStone SST-KR02 Krypton 92mm CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte B460 HD3 LGA1200 B460 Chipset ATX Motherboard ATX,

    Thanks in advance.

Cmos is where I would probably start.  power it down, pull the battery and then hit the power button.  Wait 5 min and reinstall the battery.

Did anything change that caused the loop?

Not as far as I am aware. I am asking for a friend. I am assuming that nothing changed as his PC sits in the same place and never gets moved. To me it sounds like it may also be a hardware failure as the machine is extremely old. I know that faulty RAM can cause this issue when it tries to boot as well so I will try moving his ram into another RAM slot later today.

https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X470 Taichi/index.asp#Specification Well if you look on the website... The board supports 64GB, so 4x16GB, but you can always get double height RAM for 32GB per stick if you need more storage and hope it works. Linus talked briefly about it in one of his videos a while ago, not much though, and don't remember when.

Dang thats cool bro never heard of that. i guess that would be really handy for a budget server rack build

What's the maximum amount of RAM that i can use in my ASROCK x470 Taichi ?

There are four DDR4 ram slots on your MOBO assuming they are all functioning properly. This means you can have up to 64GB of RAM in the MOBO 4x16GB ram sticks. Most people will stop at 16GB so 2x8GB RAM sticks as anything more is generally overkill unless you are doing something such as using multiple virtual machines or its for a server/hardcore streaming PC.  Hope this helps :)

  5. ye 1080p. I'll think about it. I might get more RAM instead cause I work with VM's all the time and having a shit ton of RAM is super handy so I can assign more RAM to each VM to increase its speed. I normally assign 4gbs per VM. 6gb is optimal with 2 cores for max performance. I normally run about 4 at a time. so 32GB RAM sounds good to me haha. (again IK its overkill but I dont really care haha I will love the speed)

    I play CSGO at highest settings at 1440P with a 2070 + 2700x and it averages 220fps.

Its nvidias first ‘ray tracing’ product. 2080Ti is just way way way overpriced. If you really want to spend, just get a 2080 and be happy.

CS:GO is about 65-70% CPU intensive so thats kinda irrelevant. Also a 144hz monitor requires a minimum of 144FPS in order to refresh at 144 images (hz) p/sec for your previous comment. IK a 1080ti is a bit overkill but it will save me money in the long run so I wont have to upgrade it for at least 3 years unless of part failure. thanks for the opinion though bro

where do you need a 2080 ti for that?

The question is why not haha. Also future proofing as well because NVIDIA always fuck us over with driver updates that reduce performance :(. You always have to eventually update cause they aren't compatible with some games if they are not up to date. Also its nice to be able to play max graphics settings even though i still play on 1024x768 on CS:GO

The motherboard you chose supports M.2 PCIe SSDs (NVMe), you would get better speeds on a M.2 PCIe SSD than an SATA III SSD.

True that didnt even consider that. This is what pops up "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled" This doesnt worry me anyways as I only ever use ethernet for them good speeds :P. Thanks for the advice.

This is a great build so far. But maybe get a 1tb SSD instead of that 512GB? Those GPU's are fucking expensive where you live.

Haha everything is expensive here bro. 15% GST and all the import costs makes it about 25% more expensive than some other countries. This is why I'm always broke spending money on PC shit LMAO. Thanks for the advice bro. Just gonna stick with 512GB for now and if I need it ill get another one

  10. Specs...

    mobo - B150M-D3H

    GPU - GTX 1060

    CPU - i7 6700

    RAM - 16GB DDR4

    OS - windows 10 pro

Ethernet cable was working now it just shows unidentified network. I have swapped out the cable so it's not that. I don't have a network card. Is it the IPv4 settings? They are still on automatic.
