I was looking at this as an option as well. Since my only real need to upgrade is CPU, MOBO, And RAM, if i do upgrade my platform though i would probably go with a r7. That said would the jump from the R5 to R7 be worth it in the grande scheme of things

Yeah i would be going for something in the 10 series honestly if it were just GPU. GPU is to age but honestly since my display has been the same I really only start see hit on newer games if I try to get to greed with AA or relflections on any racing sim. I am kinda leaning on just doing a system since at the end of the day I'm not trying to run anything at 4k 144hz or anything crazy

I haven't upgraded my rig in a while had a daughter and due to medical problems I haven't had the time or money to put towards my pc. With the announcement on prices for the RTX i was wanting to upgrade my GPU but fear ill just creat a bottleneck. I want to know if my money would be better spent bring the rest of my hardware to current gen rather than just do my GPU. Thanks for the advice. Hey guys I'm looking to do sli 680 and I found a great deal on a msi 680 the only problem is the memory. When i bought mine they had run out of the 4gb version and I had to get 2gb. The card i found is 4gb so the question is how much of a headache would if I did do sli with them. Also just to make sure my psu is a corsair tx850 so i shouldn't have any problems as far as power goes right?

I think I might go with targets build just because I rather spend a little more and get a more powerful build the drop back to stay under 600 since I don't need it to be exact

He is mostly in to music recording but hes been wanting to get back into gaming. He is gonna need keyboard mouse and speakers that said hes not going to care for things like mechanical vs membrane its not all that important to get "gaming" peripherals best thing would be if they can be wireless since it will be used with his TV.He for sure won't be overclocking this thing and probably the quieter the better it will be. For anyone looking to buy the DT990 or looking into high end headphones there is a group buy going on for the Beyerdynamic DT990 250Ohm. I was about to buy them for 380USD on amazon and and they are going for 260USD im not sure about shipping internationally though. Edit: they also have an option for the 600OHM version for the same price at checkout!

I was wondering whether this was the case or not with headphone amp because I know with guitar amps if when you are trying them out its best to set all the knobs to noon to here the amp at its best. SO if there isn't much in the way of difference in the o2/odac and the magni/modi then i will probable end up getting the instead of the stx. I think that i will go with a beyer dynamic set i like the looks of the DT 880 better than that of the DT 770. I will most likely end getting the 250 Ohm pro version since it is the cheapest unless there is a more compelling that i should break my budget on headphones and make my wallet cry a little more.

The thing i do want to stress here is that this setup is not exculsve for just music i will game and watch movies with this when i'm not able to use my speakers.also from the little research i did before work and on break it seems many but the o2/odac along side the magni/modi combo and both seem to an improvement over the STX. So i would be looking at getting the magni/modi combo over the o2/odac just to keep it with the same price as the STX. Not to mention the fact that im a sucker for a good clean looking setup and Norse mythology. As far as headphones goes would it be a good assumption that something for the DT series would be pretty close to the AKG's then? Or is one noticeably better that the other.
