  1. "Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has officially thrown his weight behind a national right-to-repair law, adding momentum to the issue as he and the other 400 trillion Democratic presidential candidates ramp-up their White House ambitions. As part of his campaign to overhaul policies governing the agriculture and farming sector, Sanders outlined a sweeping set of initiatives for driving “a transition in our agricultural system away from a consolidated, profit-driven industrial model to one that rebuilds and restores rural communities.” Those include the right for farmers to repair their equipment, an issue that’s become a serious problem as manufacturers work monopolize repairs for tools necessary to perform the basic functions of farmers’ jobs." https://gizmodo.com/hell-yeah-bernie-sanders-just-endorsed-a-national-righ-1834550743
  2. Samsung's Battery Factory Caught on Fire Because of Course It Did Adam Clark Estes Today 12:45pm Filed to: GARBAGE FIRES Just when you almost forgot about what a shitty time Samsung’s been having, a literal garbage fire broke out at the company’s battery supplier in Tianjin, China. The cause? Discarded faulty batteries. Reuters reports that it was just a “minor fire,” but we all know that this is a major “fuck you” for the company that lost a reported $5.3 billion in profits due to exploding Galaxy Note 7 phones. That extended nightmare, of course, was also caused by faulty batteries that were made by Samsung SDI, the aforementioned victim of the garbage fire. It’s so far unclear if the discarded faulty batteries were related to the Note 7 debacle. The local fire department reports that the “material that caught fire was lithium batteries inside the production workshops and some half-finished products.” Let’s hope, for Samsung’s sake, that those half-finished products were not the long-awaited Galaxy S8 devices. Let’s also be thankful that there were no casualties reported from the garbage fire. Hasn’t Samsung suffered enough? 3. The latency on the Steam Sheild is much better than a 'ghetto shield' Linus made a video comparing the two.
  4. I think I'm actually going to buy a used Shield for my birthday in February since the switch launch looks so disappointing. If they had announced more Third party games (Like Dark Souls or Rocket League) for launch I'd probably would hold of on buying a shield. The only other consoles I was contemplating was the JXD S7800 or the GPD XD. I love emulators but i would also like the bonus of streaming my PC library. The other two devices can Stream using the Moonlight App, but the Shield Portable seems to win with controls and design.
  5. Wondering how true this story is... Nvidia Shield Portable 2 spotted at the FCC Read more at http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/nvidia-shield-portable-2-spotted-at-the-fcc#xshBWDb6A5o8clML.99 "It's been several years since Nvidia introduced its portable Android console, the original Nvidia Shield, and CES has come and gone without news of a follow-up device. Luckily, it looks like Nvidia has been working on a successor to the Shield, as certification documents have been spotted over at the Federal Communications Commission in the states. The device, which looks to use the same controller with a flip screen as the original, was spotted by a member of the dedidcated Shield subreddit."
