  1. Hehehe, I can live with that. I can't exactly afford premium dinners every other night as it stands anyway Yee, you had a Japanese name so I wondered if you had some connection with Japan
  2. Thanks a lot, you guys. I already checked out the PB278Q too, but ain't no way I can spend 40000 yen right now (plus shipping to Japan), haha. >~< And yeah, I know it wouldn't be maxed out, so if I did get a 1440p monitor I would just play some games below native res. I guess imma have to go for the 1080p. \\^o^//
  3. I just built a pretty expensive PC and now I'm all out of money. I don't have a monitor yet. Ideally, I would like to buy a 2560x1440 monitor, but that will probably leave me with so little money I won't be able to eat anything but cup ramen for the next two hundred years. I could buy a 1920x1080 monitor, though, and use OGSSAA. I actually downsampled 2560x1440 on my parent's TV (which is 1080p) when I went over to their house earlier today (with my rig) and played some World of Warcraft (since I don't have a display at my house), and it looked great. I have a GTX 1070. Not the best thing in the world, I know, but it can handle 1440p gaming pretty well. What do you guys think I should do? Get a good/decent 1920x1080 monitor or starve myself and buy a 2560x1440 one?
  4. Did that. Nope, that's the thing. They don't appear among the devices.
  5. Hi! I just came back from the US and built a PC with the parts i bought (which I chose with your guys help here on the forums). Everything seems to be working fine, but my headphones don't work, neither in the front panel not the motherboard. They don't even register in the front panel. However, when I put in my mouse or a flashdrive in the front panel USB slots, it says the device malfunctioned. I can put the headphones in at the back, and the Realtek HD Audio Manager recognizes them, but I don't hear anything from them. Any help will be appreciated! I believe it's responsible for the LEDs at the bottom of the front panel.
  6. Thanks a lot, you guys. I'm not too concerned over response time since I don't intend to do any competitive CS:GO gaming or something. Thank you. Could I ask for your opinion once more? I found a Korean one that I could afford, but it has a response time of 8 ms. I said above that I don't play competitively or anything, so I wonder if 8 ms is good enough for gaming. Not light gaming either, since that's what I plan to do most of the time -- but no competitive FPS games or anything like that.
  7. I'm trying to purchase a monitor for around $200 or less because I'm broke after building a PC (it's much more expensive to buy this stuff from the US if you live in Japan). I have a 6700k and an EVGA GTX 1070 Superclocked. I know the 1070 is really good for 1440p gaming, so I've been trying to buy a 1440p monitor, but I can't afford an ASUS or a Samsung or something. Pretty much the only 1440p monitor I can afford at this point is one of those infamous Korean ones. However, 1080p ones, of course, are cheaper than 1440p ones, so I reckon I could buy one from an actual reputable company. What should I do? Get a horrible Korean knock-off and get 1440p or a legit 1080p and lose out on that sweet sweet 1440p gaming?
  8. This is my build. I can't change anything because I already have all the parts, except the motherboard. What motherboard should I get? Something that is capable of SLI if I want to go that route in the future? I'm a noob, sorry. Could you guys recommend a good motherboard? Thanks a lot. 9. Damn dawg, you made it onto Luke's video. I kept the 6700k. Thanks for your help.
  10. No, you explained brilliantly. Thank you very much.
  11. Ooh, thanks a lot. PC Part Picker doesn't seem to have anything whose performance is "great". I guess I'll have to buy it without adding it to my list. Or do you think I should just get this one, because I think I can see this one there. What's the difference from the one that you linked?
  12. Aright, EVGA has way too many options for the 1070. Which one is good from so many?
  13. Okay, wise-ass. My first language is Japanese. Don't make fun of my word choice. ******************************************************************************************************************* @SamStrecker, @Hunched, and @MaxBunny, thanks a lot. I'll go with EVGA in that case, since it seems to be the most popular/trusted.
  14. I'm trying to buy a GTX 1070 for the PC I'm building, but there's so many editions. I was going with a Gigabyte, but someone said it's horrible and should be avoided at all costs. Which one is best? (Sorry. I'm a noob.)
