The thermal paste in socket has more that 1 year, i dont remember what kind it is. It maybe electric conductor or not. that is one of my fears too

Hi, one year ago i put too much thermal paste and didn't noticed, PC works fine, but during Desktop cleaning i noticed i had the space between my CPU and socket with paste. Should i remove the cpu and clean? i fear that some paste will go to socket or to some into some socket hole and ruin my motherboard For now i ignored it, and mounted the pc again and its working Well, but this is something that incommodes me.

I had the same problem and because of it i was forced to update to windows 10 with the license of my laptop. After i installed windows10, i found that to install windows 7 you need to use the old port for keybord and mouse or the pc will not recognize them i(during windows installation) if they are connected by usb. I amnot sure about this methgod since i didn't test it
