I was just watching the recent video of the ASUS Z97-WS and I was thinking about the gold/black color scheme.
I began to think about what cards would look nice in there. All I could think of was a couple lightning edition MSI cards but then I was not sure if the gold/black would match the yellow/black of the card.
Does anyone else think it'd be handy if there was a system (similar to what other systems do to cars) where you can select parts (motherboard, CPU cooler, case, graphics card, RAM, wiring colors, etc etc) and be able to see a 3D model of what a system with these components would look like?
Doing a system like this would be fair easy (and very cross platform) in a 3D engine like unity, would just be a pain to have all the 3D models made up for the different components. Would it be possible (maybe with Linus's industry contacts?) to get 3D models that the companies would already have and then we just need to texture/apply materials to it.
