    What settings should I use in nvidia control panel for the best performance in solidworks, autocad, etc. System is an i5, 8gb ram and quadro 400

    http://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/rzQY9W Now your have an ssd that will hold the os and a couple apps. Also you don't need a 600w psu for a 300w build so I switched that for a 430w which saves money.

    I have about $150 for the card and it would be paired with an i3 6100. I want do be able to play most new games with 60+ fps without having to put the settings on low. I was considering a gtx 950, would that do the trick or is there something else thats better.

    I am looking for a budget graphics card that will give me the best gaming performance. I want at least 60 fps without having to turn the settings down to low. I would have about $150 budget for the card and it would be paired with an i3 6100.

    I just took what you did and added all ssd storage, switched the 32 of ram for 16 (which is plenty for gaming) and lowered the price a bit.
