This is my first PC rig and also first time filming and edtiting Since I live up in the cold of Norway Arctic Blue is fitting I ordered the parts (very expensive in Norway) ordered a Canon EOS 700D some lights and tripods. The rigg have allready been updated this week with an additional 1TB SSD from samsung. I only had 850 EVO 240 GB + 1 TB HDD

Audacity as mentioned above is a good lightweight program that is free and should cover most of your needs. you will need a second program for drum beats. A quick search on drum beats (will give you loop samples and other stuff for FL, Ableton etc) you will find stuff like drum bot (online beat maker)

My first build and I am planning opting for a gaming pc with some light video editing and music production. have decided on a skylake build z170 , I7 6700k, GTX 1080. I had initially looked at Asus Z170-Pro but I am uncertain as to what speed and brand of memory to select.I dont think I need more than 16GB. in terms of speed and reliabillity what is best option in terms of 4x4GB or 2x8 GB. please assist feel also free to comment upon my choice of mobo.
