  1. Considering selling my 3900x (I have a 6700K that works fine) and getting the new Zen 3 when it comes out. Worth it? Also, I am using the 6700K right now and I am surprised how well it still works. So, keep the 6700K (OCed to 4.5), Keep the Zen 2, or get the Zen 3? I mostly game with some video editing. If I am going to sell the Zen 2, I would have to do it before Zen 3 comes out or the value will tank. What do you think?
  2. Asus Rampage III formula. All the ram is in the right spots. I haven't used the board in a while, but it worked last time I tried it. I guess I will have to yank the cpu.
  3. Turns on, but no post. HD and power lights are always on. Fans work, there is definitely power in there. Checked all the connections, everything seems ok. Only thing I didn't do it reseat the CPU because its a pain in the butt. Could it be something else or the cpu?
  4. Hey folks, have a RTX 2070 with a replacement MSI Optix Mag321CQR monitor and an HP Omen (2nd). When I boot into windows, the MSI which is my main is not recognized and I have to pull the displayport from the GPU and replug it and it works fine. What do you think this is? Thanks
  5. The AIO was only disconnected from the CPU and left hanging till the replacement came. Never touched the radiator. It is in the same position it always was. Maybe the pump is dying? I threw on the stock cooler and its working fine.
  6. I checked and double checked, it's installed correctly, but running super warm. Recently reinstalled cpu on rma'd mobo and it's hot. Any ideas? Reset again? Has new high end paste.
  7. Hopping on this thread, I was going to ask a similar question. I have access to a mac and a pc. Do I use iMovie or Resolve on the PC. (The PC is much much faster). Mac Mini - I5-2400S with Intel graphics PC- Ryzen 3900x with RTX 2070.
  8. Having a weird issue. Every time I click a web page, open a program, anything, the fan spools up. I open a new browser tab, fan spools up then slows down. Its kind of annoying. Wondering if there's a way to fix this. Its an ASUS P8P67-M PRO with an I7-6700K overclocked to 4.5Ghz. Runs cool pretty much all the time. Uses an Evo212. Should I replace the fan with something else? Running Cinabench R20 it maxes at 79C, idles at 35C. Thanks
  9. Well, the cooler worked...the cpu and motherboard? Not really. the older mobo couldn't handle the 3900x, even though its on the supported list and its bios is updated. Oh well.
  10. My Mobo is dead and I'm gonna pop my 3900x into my other computer which has a 1700 in it. Will the wraith spire cool the 3900x? The rig with the 3900x has water cooling and its all taken apart for the Mobo RMA so its not really worth rebuilding for a temporary build. I think I have an evo212 somewhere. What do you think? Thanks
  11. I was hoping he would give me one of his guides. I wasn't asking him to do it for me
  12. Could you install proxmox over a lightweight linux build which has a gui with a browser?
  13. I'm happy to give it a shot. I have lots of GPU's floating around and USB controllers are pretty cheap. Let me know, thanks!
  14. Is it possible to install Proxmox and the VMs on a particular computer then use that same computer to boot into the VMs? I just want to install proxmox and a few Operating systems and when I turn on the computer I can choose the OS I wish, sort of like Dual or triple booting, but its all virtualized. This way I can run two monitors and 2 GPU and run 2 separate OSs at the same time. OSX for video stuff while playing games on the other monitor all on the same computer. Or even run two VMs of Windows 10, one for work and one for play. I got 24 threads and most are going to waste.
