  1. That was my initial plan but I don't know if I can hold on for another two months with these problems. I was thinking of getting a second hand GPU which will, hopefully, last me a bit longer.
  2. Hi everyone, been a long time since I posted anything here. First of all my PC specs: AtomicHood - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker This is my first PC build. I'm very satisfied with my choices but I still haven't got a new GPU. I have around 300 USD saved up and was planning to save more and buy a GPU around Christmas. Planning being the key word. I'm okay with the bottleneck and can wait before playing newer games but my GPU is straight up messing with me. First of all, this old XFX R7 250 1GB stopped getting driver support and I currently have the 21.5.2 driver version installed. Windows 10 is all up to date. Last week I noticed my PC restarted when idling. I panicked of course and when it booted up again I saw a message that Radeon Wattman settings have been restored due to system failure. I checked Event Viewer and the error is: Event ID - 41, Source - Kernel Power. At first I thought it was a one-off but it happened a few times more during the following days. Today I ran OCCT CPU, Memory, 3D, VRAM and POWER tests each for half an hour and no errors came up. Then another peculiar thing happened. When starting a game it crashed and AMD Report Wizard said a driver timeout has happened. I tried searching for why that is but couldn't find anything concrete. I also tried downclocking both the GPU Clock Speed and VRAM Clock Speed for 100 MHz but to no avail. I also downgraded the drivers but for some reason the games just black screen and don't even work. TLDR: My GPU is giving me problems with my new build. I know its old but I wanted it to last for a bit longer. Should I troubleshoot more or buy a new GPU? Also sidenote, in the OCCT POWER test my CPU temp was max. 75 °C and my GPU temp was max. 65 °C. The CPU seems fine to me, maybe a bit high I don't really know, but since the fan speed for my GPU read out like 750000 RPM I'm not sure how accurate the GPU results were. That is all, thank you.
  3. I do hear some interference on the front panel. Guess I'll connect it to the back. Also is it normal that the audio is louder when using headphones instead of speakers. Cause I had to turn down the Windows sound to 35%.
  4. Hi, should I connect my headphones and mic to the back panel or the front panel? Is there any loss in audio quality or something?
  5. Two more questions. Does the Seasonic M12II 620W Evo sound better than the XFX PSU. And I've been reading that a lot of this PSU's have high noise levels. Is that true?
  6. Thanks! I was leaning more to the XFX one anyways.
  7. Hi, I would like to know what PSU is the best to buy. I'm thinking about the XFX Pro Series 650W Core Edition or the Seasonic S12II 520W or M12II 520W Evo. Which one would you guys recommend? Or do you have anything other in mind?
  8. Yeah I was thinking of getting a Seasonic 520W one
  9. It has a 6+2 PCIe power connector
  10. Hi, so I plan to upgrade to the Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 580 Aorus 4GB version. I'm kinda worried about my PSU's ability to handle this GPU. I'm currently using XFX R7 250 so I have no experience with higher power consuming GPU's. My PSU is from Xilence and its power is 480W. They discontinued this PSU I think because I can't find it on the retailer's website. I'll upload the photo of a sticker found on the PSU. I don't really have enough money for a PSU and a GPU but if its gonna blow up when I plug in the new GPU I better be safe than sorry.
  11. Yeah, it was my fault for buying it now instead of waiting. Oh well, I'll see how ZEN is like and if its good I'll sell this and buy ZEN.
  12. Hi everyone! So I recently upgraded my CPU to an X4 860K. And the next step is the GPU. I'm want to buy an RX 470 when the price drops a little. My question is; would it bottleneck and how much? I'm gonna upgrade my GPU anyways so if it would bottleneck could you give me suggestions as to what GPU I should buy then. My PSU has a one 6+2 pin so something compatible with that. 13. So... MSI Dynamite (good luck finding that) and a Logitech M100. Dream combo yeah?
