  1. Its such a cool product I wish they kept selling them. If anyone is interested I actually have one lying around with its original packaging and accessories in good working condition that I am willing to sell if anyone is interested. Its configured with 2x Xeon X5570 24GB(12x 2GB) DDR3 ECC 3x 1TB RE3 WD1002FBYS HDDs 2x 750W PSU running Mac OS X Server v10.6. The disks are in good status according to SMART but the battery in the RAID controller is dead. If you are interested just hit me up but its located in Europe.
  2. Greetings everyone! I have an HP 1030 x360 G2 laptop which other than the touchpad works great. In Windows 10, the touchpad stops responding for 5-10 seconds at random intervals. It also happens quite frequently. It's very annoying since it basically renders the trackpad unusable. In the BIOS it works fine, no lag whatsoever. I also tried Ubuntu and the touchpad is perfect there. I came to the conclusion that it's a software issue, probably the touchpad driver. I've tried a few different drivers already to no avail. I hope some of you already had the same problem and found a real fix. I tried so many things that I've read on other forums and none of the proposed solutions worked. Thank you for your help in advance!
  3. Hi everyone, Have you ever encountered this situation below? You are trying to connect to a wifi network on your windows 10 laptop and you get the error "cant connect to this network" Meanwhile you can connect to any other networks, and your phone and every other devices are able to connect to the network that your windows 10 laptop cannot. What is the reason? Why isnt the error message more specific? What were the developers thinking when composing such error message? I am out of my mind Any help would be much apprechiated
  4. Very true! Never cook electronics in the same oven you cook food. I feel bad for not mentioning this, it's very important. But I disagree about the rarity of this working. I did many GPU and laptop reflows in the oven, even smartphones, and the success rate was surprisingly high, from my own experience about 80%. But it really comes down to if the problem really was with the solder joints or not, and how bad it was. Longevity of the repair however is another question... Sometimes it lasts only a few hours, days or weeks, but I've had a few examples when it lasted a couple years even. But this should not be an issue for you as you are going to buy a new card a few months later anyway So if nothing else helps, and you think the cuplrit might be solder joints, then throw that card into the oven as a last resort. The cooler will still look good on the shelf after baking even if it's not repaired
  5. I remember Linus making a video about ram speeds matter or better to say not matter much, but I don't remember if he tested with both AMD and Intel or just the latter
  6. Well if you don't use integrated graphics then RAM speeds should not matter. I'd try stock speeds for the memory like the guy above me have said. Also, you can try running memtest86 and see if your ram is faulty or not. Even new RAM can produce errors.
  7. Sounds like a fried card. Maybe just solder points under the GPU/vRAM got disconnected, you can fix it with a bit of luck by reflowing in the oven.
  8. It might be dead. Any artifacts while booting/in windows before installing drivers?
  9. For some random BSODs I'd recommend testing the RAM with memtest for a couple hours even if the RAM is new. I've seen new RAM producing errors a few times so whenever I buy even new I test them before using.
  10. Hi all Ever since I installed the Fall Creators update, windows seems to ignore the policy "no auto restart with logged on users" which on previous builds worked just fine preventing any auto restart but now it will just reboot itself without the user confirming it. I've been looking all over the internet for a solution, but no luck, have you found one maybe? Thank you for you help in advance
  11. If you plan to overclock your cpu(I assume, as you bought a K series chip), then definitely grab the 212 EVO. The T2 may not going to be enough for OC. Even though both have 4 heat pipes, the larger fan and dissipating area of the 212 could help a lot. The A98 is a joke. For office use and web browsing it's fine. Test for load temps with the A98 to see how high temps get.

    HDMI CABLES

I also haven't seen a graphics card with dual hdmi outputs, so... they might be display ports, have a look again or correct me if I'm wrong and show me a gpu with dual hdmi outputs
  13. Bearings tend to be louder over time. So if you keep the fans off while not needed, you preserve their quietness and they will have a longer lifespan. I don't really know by how much in real life though. For your cpu fan, check the temps, and if they are fine, chech the bios settings for fan curves. If you see high temps, reapply thermal paste. Use top quality paste, it can make your cpu run multiple degrees celsius cooler than with lower quality paste. Also, is the cpu fan pwm?
  14. This is a fresh install Maybe let's just write a logon script to enable mouse trails? Would be overkill
  15. Hello everyone, This is driving me crazy! I recently upgraded to windows 10. Long story short, night shift(among a lot of other things) is buggy, so I returned to using f.lux as I did on windows 7. With f.lux, the mouse cursor doesn't change it's color unless you set mouse trails on. So I set mouse pointer trails on. I can live with that, no problem. But after every restart, windows 10 seems to be resetting my mouse setting from mouse trails on to mouse trails off. Why does windows 10 do that? I don't feel like windows 10 should reset my mouse settings... Have you guys experienced something like this? Is there a solution? I found on the internet many people advising to update mouse/trackpad drivers or uninstall 3rd party mouse drivers, but I have a desktop computer and a very generic old fujitsu usb mouse with windows default drivers. And I also don't think that this could even be driver related. It's just a basic setting like the desktop background. Thank you for your help in advance
