NinjaSiren's Achievements

  1. I might check it later, as I am using the laptop right now, with the toothpicks attached in the side where the LCD wire goes out the board to the LCD. I am still planning to play later abit of From The Depths and Robocraft, then later at night time ill be checking the wires. Just think, a laptop with toothpicks on one of it's sides near a wire that leads to the LCD. About 5~7 toothpicks.
  2. I do have a soldering set here in my house, but i'll rather not repair it, but just buy a replacement. Its like finding a tiny broken wire in a bundle of tiny wires.
  3. I experimented abit about GPU mining of Litecoins, and differentiating the advantages and disadvantages of using Scrypt or X11. It turns out that even if the X11 protocol has already some ASIC cards for it, mining via X11 against the Scrypt, is much more better with the longevity of the GPU, and the Mining for Litecoins using GPUs in X11 is still/might be profitable in a long run. Scrypt Advantages over X11: - Its much more compatible with Litecoin, as it was the original protocol for it, so it is easier to mine via Scrypt. Disadvantages over X11: - Scrypt is much more power hungry and in turn make the GPU heat more, thus reduces the life span of the GPU. - Scrypt already has too much ASIC cards for it, so GPU mining is no longer profitable vs X11. Just an observation when I experimented and tried to mine.
  4. Only problem is, its the Internal LCD, not an External one. Like the wire is in-built with the laptop's LCD.
  5. I had this laptop for almost 4 years already, and it helped me bring a bit of my gaming from the house to the university, and lately it had problems with it's LCD. Where I need to always put toothpicks in between the LCD wire from the Board to the screen. Like if I remove the toothpicks the computer will beep 8 times, indicating an LCD failure. But when I place the toothpicks, the laptop opens up just fine. Now I can't even move the laptop at all, without removing the toothpicks and again finding the right spot where the LCD will work. My probable causes: 1. Faulty/Loose wire from the Board to the LCD. 2. Reseat the LCD to the board.
