  1. I want to upgrade from my old FX-8350, I've begun to do more actual work(coding, video editing, rendering), and the old viscera chip isn't cutting it. My budget is about 500-600$ total for all components; cpu, ram, mobo, and fan. Thanks for the help+recommendations.
  2. I fixed that issue by putting it into full screen, but it still has issues. Nothing changed in my system, I have an FX-8350, which doesn't have integrated graphics. I also have 16gb of ddr3 ram. The low fps was fixed by taking it out of border-less windowed, but now the textures won't stop flashing white. Thanks for the help.
  3. I used to be able to get 60+ fps with my 2 rx 470's, but recently it won't go over 12. The game has become completely unplayable. Does anyone know a fix?
  4. My brother recently stopped playing pc games, and gave me his two graphics cards. I was wondering if the one gtx 1060 I have will preform better or worse in most games I play? I plan to sell which ever one(s) I don't use. I mostly play games like; CS:GO, Overwatch, Witcher 3, For Honor, and Elder Scrolls Online. Thanks for the help.
  5. would you recommend 8 or 16gb of ram?
  6. Mostly game, some programing and coding in Unreal 4
  7. I'm looking to upgrade from my fx-8350, it's loud, slow, and is as hot as the sun. I was wondering if someone could recommend a new processor. My planned budget for the whole upgrade is between 400 - 500 USD. That includes CPU, MOBO, RAM, and cooler if it's not bundled with the cpu. Thanks for all the help.
  8. CPU: FX-8350 @base GPU: Asus GTX 1060 SC RAM: 2x8gb ddr3 ram Score: 7.6
  9. I'm looking to upgrading from my fx-8350. I'm looking into the i5-7600k, and the i7-7700k. I'll mainly do gaming, but I will do some light game development. My main concern is if the i5-7600k will bottleneck my 1080ti. If someone could help me out with picking the right one that would be great, thanks for the help.
  10. I'm looking to upgrade, and was wondering what the common consensus is on the best motherboard manufacturer. I'm talking about build quality and how well it actually works. I've heard that am4 mobos can be kind of sketchy for ram, so I just want to know the good ones that can run 3200 mhz ram. If anyone could reccomend a brand and a motherboard for around 100-175$ usd, that would be great. Thanks for the help.
  11. maybe, but you should look into it. As long as you don't overclock i think you'll be ok.
  12. yes, but you would get slightly worse preformance. Also you could ditch the cooler, because the 1700 comes with a cooler.
  13. The 1800x has a higher tdp and clock speed. The 1700 can be overclocked to reach milliard performance, though i wouldn't due to the state of overclocking and the risk. But the cores and actual chip are the same.
  14. Thats a good choice, i didn't look super far into it.
