  1. As long as the switches are all connected to your router then you are fine. you don't need smart switches, unless you have the money for ubiquiti system, then by everything ubiquiti.
  2. Samsung was caught advertising the samsung note 9 while on an apple iphone. The worst part is that this isn't the first time this has happened to a smart phone company, also happened to Huawei. https://www.slashgear.com/samsung-tweets-from-iphone-to-promote-the-galaxy-note-9-02556566/ Any thoughts on this?

  5. Well not really, however, it has been flying around the internet that you can download the camera app from the google pixel and it has done worlds to make a lot of bad phone cameras look so much better. Linus actually did a video on this early last week you might want to see if you can do the same with your phone. However with the great prices of phones in 2018, I'm not sure why you decided to buy an older phone like the S6 when you could grab the pocofone for $300.
  6. First, before you want to optimize them, you may want to double check your computer even recognizes them. Open up disk management and see if they are there. I've dealt with a lot of these issues at work. It may be possible that your drives are failing, and failed entirely. if for some reason that you try another computer and these drives are working however, you may want to check those USBs on your motherboard. I've had a motherboard that i maxed out the power through the back USBs and all i had to do was put on of the USBs in the front IO of the case and it worked.
  7. my recommendation, get a new router, most routers that are around $100 are better than the ones you get from your provider. I recommend linksys router's, ive been using them for years, and they very easily out perform even the top notch verizon gigabit router in my area. With linksys you can name each device and then it is as easy as dragging your favorites to the top of the QOS column. If you want any recommendations let me know.
  8. Can the pixelbook from google run ubuntu fully? The word on the street is that the pixelbook is the ideal linux laptop, but I can't seem to find anything soundly running on any flavor of linux. I was wondering if Linus could make a video of solutions to make the pixelbook actually useful, including hopefully some kind of full linux/ubuntu solution.
  9. do you have a link on how to do that, unless you are referencing the settings in the nvidia control panel and in that case I already have that covered
  10. great point about the wattage, and you are right on battery I am almost never using this secondary drive.
  11. I understand that the HDD is the better option for mass storage, the question was how much would the SSD help my battery life. Currently I am only getting around 5 hours of web surfing with this laptop. And I'm trying to find ways to increase this time.
  12. find the parts under system information and plug it into pcpartpicker website
  13. I just got a Dell 7577 gaming laptop with an i7, 1060, 16gb of memory and two drives a 256gb ssd and a 1tb hard drive. The battery life isn't too great and the weight is a little much. I was wondering whether upgrading that HDD to an SSD would help my battery life, I am not too much worried about speed since this storage is for mass storage and not for speed. I looked around the internet but found no actual numbers on whether this would help much. If you have a similar experience, or if you are wondering the same thing I am right now, come on down to the comment section to talk about this. If no one can find a definite answer, Linus if you are reading this can you help us out here??? Thanks, zornzilla
