ok I've located the source of the problem, when I plug in my motherboard power cable loosely into the mb it works fine, but when I make it go all the way in (and click) it starts to act up. should i leave it semi-plugged in or is that not safe? (looks like this )

if you mean the power and reset switch - i've unplugged them and tried turning on the pc manually and the issue remained

hi, after cleaning my pc and tidying up the cables, the pc turns itself back on after shutdown. the only way to shut it down is to turn off the psu switch (after which there's 2 clicks, the same one it makes when it turns on, making me think it's hardware, not software related) uploading a video right now, will edit after it's done.

I am using an acme ma06 mouse and (currently) a cheap logitech keyboard as my mechanical one broke. I don't have headphones.
