  1. thats the thing, I've unchecked it probably about 50 times and clicked apply and it did its thing, and then when i reopen properties its checked again. I dont understand why. It wont even give me like an error message or anything it just checks itself again after I apply and close the properties window
  2. It's on my hard drive, my F drive, in one of my steamapps folders
  3. Alright, so heres my situation. I have ran into this issue a few times and it is quite frustrating. I have spent hours with Microsoft support and 2K games support, both getting me nowhere. I am trying to play XCOM 2: War Of The Chosen, and I learned that I cannot save my game, apparently because the games files are marked as "read-only" in the properties. According to the crappy support I got from Microsoft, the files are encrypted and cannot be changed from "read-only", even though support from 2K games told me to unmark "read-only" in the properties for the game folder. I really do not know what to do, this is pretty much my last try to see if anyone on here can help me, otherwise I wasted $40 on this game I can't create save files for.
  4. So whenever I try to click something in the bottom right section of my screen. My graphics are up to date, all my drivers too. I have a dual monitor setup and I don't have this issue on my secondary monitor. For example, while writing this post I cannot click on "Insert other media".
  5. Sorry man, I don't know a whole lot about computers. Kinda learning as I go. But hope this helps, and the ambient temp in my room is about 80 right now at 10 pm
  6. So I have an i7-4790k with a corsair H100iV2, which is a liquid cooler. So my PC's CPU should be running at relatively cooler temps but it runs at 70 C when playing overwatch. I also run two monitors. Anyone know what the problem might be? Or how to cool it more effectively?

    Noisy HDD

Theres no bays for drives in this case, it's weird. You have to mount it to the side in the computer, the "wall" you route cables through to the back. And is it safe to put something like tissue paper or double sides tape between the HDD and side panel?
  8. So I have a Western Digital 2 TB HDD in my In Win 303 case, and the HDD goes in the back where the extra cables usually get routed to. So my HDD is pressed right up against my side panel and when my computer is running under load it makes a humming noise and it's kinda loud. It may not be my HDD but my best guess is that it is and it's making the noise because it's pressed up against the side panel. Anyone know anything I could to do help reduce noise or anything?
  9. thank you very much! seems to be fixed now! I appreciate it very much, couldn't of done it without ya
  10. @Mighty_Miro_WD I ran the test on my hard drive and it said it passed. Seems to me like it's running fine. I just don't know why I can't download and put things on the HDD which is the whole reason I'm trying to fix it lol. Anything else I can do to help fix?
  11. So I checked my device manager and it shows up in there and it says its working fine but I still cant use it or format it or anything. Anybody know what I should do now? It also says the partition style for the HDD is GUID partition table (GPT)
  12. could it possibly my OS? I'm running windows 8.1 64 bit that I got from my friend who torrented it for me, even though the HDD shows up in the BIOS.
  13. So I just finished building my gaming PC, and everything seems to be working fine besides the fact my computer won't recognize my HDD. It shows up in the BIOS just fine, but when I go to disk drive management, the HDD doesn't show up. Only my SSD and the USB drive I used to install windows onto my PC show up. I just want to be able to use my HDD so I can download my games and stuff onto it. I have a Western Digital HDD and it seems to work fine physcially/mechanically. Thanks!
