  1. oh damn i didn't realize, ill edit it until its deleted.
  2. Hi everyone, i have 2 spare copies of left 4 dead 2 as steam gifts and im looking for someone to trade them to for different keys. i missed the golden joystick giveaway so id be willing to trade one of them for a civ 5 key (or both for 2 civ 5 keys).the other one, I'm open to offers ( i do have every humble bundle though so not particularly interested in those games). post your offer and ill pm you if I'm interested removed as it was against coc
  3. Basically the problem I'm having is getting around the error " Error 11 The name 'playerMonster' does not exist in the current context ". i thought having the else at the end of the block would allow me to get around it but apparently not. code below if (monster == "OldDirtyBastard") { Monsters.OldDirtyBastard playerMonster = new Monsters.OldDirtyBastard(hero); } else if (monster == "DiscoDragon") { Monsters.DiscoDragon playerMonster = new Monsters.DiscoDragon(hero); } else if (monster == "PirateRobocop") { Monsters.PirateRobocop playerMonster = new Monsters.PirateRobocop(hero); } else { Monsters.SpideryThing playerMonster = new Monsters.SpideryThing(hero); } i understand that visual studio thinks that theres a chance playerMonster will never be initialized but I'm stumped as to a good solution without restructuring a lot of my code. any help would be greatly appreciated, not too worried about how clean the answer is as long as it works
  4. any way you could update the bios to 2.10? also maybe try a clear cmos if you have not. this is a different motherboard but the solution maybe the same http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?12157-My-fix-for-the-0d-error-code-on-boot-up-(RPG-Rampage-IV-Extreme)-(BIOS-freezes)
  5. possibly but you can bet they will come in at a serious premium
  6. Thats alot of money for what i can i only speculate will be 10% better then a 3930k. heres some overclocked cinebench figures http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2012/11/06/amd-fx-8350-review/3 so almost double. it entirely depends on what your rendering. if its video in premier, a new GTX 780 would be a better upgrade based on cuda acceleration
  7. don't be ridiculous, purple aliens don't wear yellow hats, they clash.....
  8. only problem is using a sacrificial anode would be expensive to implement and spoil the look :(
  9. Noticed a lot of people saying they don't have the "piece of paper" required for an IT job. Im studying computer science myself and i can assure you, its not just a piece of paper, its 4 years of intense study, i work with a systems administrator (server upgrades and network management) a few hours a week and i assure you, they are worlds apart.
  10. studying computer science myself, we do a bit of microprocessors and its pretty damn hard, better make sure your great at math
  11. i see, well get everything rigged up and if temps are unsatisfactory, you know what you need to do :P just make sure you have the 80mm of clearance the rad needs between the mounts and the top of the vrm heatsink! also if you mounting the fans on the inside of the case this will add 25mm, unless you get some low profile ones which are usually 15mm. as regards sli, have a look at some of the benchmarks linus put up when testing the titan, it is certainly the best single gpu card. if you can justify the expense, go for it, you certainly won't be disappointed. are you planning on doing surround gaming? if not the only game you would need a card like titan for is crysis 3, but thats for now. with the increased memory of the next gen consoles, high memory cards could be a necessity for modern gaming in a year or so :)
  12. Agree with whaler, look at a case like the switch 810 for a 360 and 240, in pull on the 360 (with the fans at the top) that behemoth of a rad will fit. Im sure you have your reasons for choosing titan (centerpiece or surround gaming or such) but two 660ti's in sli are much better value. just an aside, would leave more money for a bigger ssd or some games!
  13. no experience with them myself but they seem to get fairly decent reviews. remember these are 25mm thick fans and will no fit on the inside of a haf x with anything more then a 45mm rad. as i said if you can mount fans on the outside this would alleviate the clearance problem
  14. from what i can gather there is about 80mm of clearance from the top of the motherboard. dont have much experience with the haf x but if i recall correctly, you can mount the fans on on the top right? if so you can stick a 60 mm rad in there without much trouble, something like the Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm. you might even be able to fit in a Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta 360, that would be insanely tight though.... if you have the case, whip out a ruler and check the measurements. also your gona want some decent fans for something that thick
