  1. ~$200 I am willing to look at something used or refurbished that is from a reputable source.
  2. I would purchase a Surface but I do not have that much money for a tablet.
  3. I am currently a high school student. Recently my school created Google Drive accounts for all students, finally. Welcome to the 21st century. Many of my teachers are starting to incorporate assignments through Google in the class room; many times not providing computers leaving us to use our phones or bring in other devices. Personally I don't enjoy the small environment and app based applications on a phone. I much prefer a full operation system allowing for programs and such. Something running Windows between 8 and 10inches. I have start bringing in my gaming laptop more and more which is A. big B. heavy and C. a little to expensive to carry around school. It also gets very cumbersome when having to deal with many different large text books and binders. I am looking for a good price to performance Windows Tablet to take to school and back to mostly run web based stuff and on occasion programs such as Arduino and Cura. Please leave any suggestions. They well be greatly appreciated. Thank you. For those curious this is my current set up:
  4. What I would like to just Image the OS because I do not have the money to buy Windows for a clean install on the SSD. All I want on the SSD is the OS. I do not need my movies and pics on the SSD.
  5. Do I need to pay for Acronis?
  6. Thank you so much for the help. I'm really nervous about doing something like this.
  7. If you are going to game on it I would not get the 4k display because it is truly overkill and not needed. The 4k display will really bog down the small 860. The Lenovo Y series has a very solid built. A bit on the thick side but does not feel flimsy in the hands. On my Lenovo Y410p.
  8. I currently have a Lenovo Y410p that has a 1Tb HDD in it. I just bought a 128Gb SSD for the M.2 slot within the machine. I would like to move or copy the operating system onto the SSD with out losing my setting. Is there any way of doing this? I am going to keep both drives in the system because I do have a large amount of games, music, videos, etc.
  9. That is part of the reason I am having so much trouble. I was unaware of the connector till this first time I cleaned the system (consequently broke a screw but all fixed now). I read stories of people calling and the person on the phone said it was a SATA slot or something. No one is really sure what it is. I think I am going to chicken out. Really wish I could make the laptop much faster. Sort of sad that it has a high end CPU and is really bottle necked by a slow HD.
  10. Aniallation, thank you for the help. I am just really worried to buy a SSD and it does not work because I do not have much cash. Problems of a high school-er.
  11. Are you sure? I am worried that the notches in the SSD you show will not match up.
  12. I am referring to the slot on the right. Where can I find a SSD that will fit in the slot?
  13. Hello, I have a Lenovo Y410P and on the inside there is a connector that I have no clue what it is. I am hoping that I can use the connector for some sort of SSD. Please Help. Thank you.
