  1. Bad phrasing, what I meant is that HR IS upper management in LMG, i.e, if some abuse happens vertically, the employee has nowhere to go. And yes, a ombudsman office should be considered in the light of all this. An union also, but that's not inside the company's control, it's up to the employees.
  2. This is not how whistleblowing works. As per the people's victim blaming inherent in this thread, it often takes a push for people to come out with their grievances, specially if they bottled it up for a long time. It's not something you decide to share casually out of nowhere. LMG has always been credible and appeared transparent about their internal functions. It's what so many of us love about the channel. So just coming out of nowhere with a completely opposite perception (not taking sides here) is not easy, specially considering the aforementioned tendency of victim blaming inside the tech community. I hope the claims are false or blown out of proportion out of love for LMG, but just me liking the company doesn't merit outright rebutting them.
  3. The fact that HR is mingled with upper management creates the possibility of abuse. This is what I meant and is basic 101 corporate logic.
  4. This. Her claims doesn't have to be true to be plausible, and not in the least for us to feel empathetic. People are questioning her mental sanity without even knowing her on a deeper level, just to remotely try to discredit claims that they themselves have no way of knowing the truth of. In light of recent videos and drama from LMG, like the GN's video suggestion rush behavior and other sloppiness, it is plausible that there is a lot of work pressure among the ranks of the company. And while we from the outside can't say how much it extends and if it is at all toxic, we can say from the light of all this that there are problems that they have to address, denying this is just fanboyism among other worse things. One thing that Madison has pointed out that merits deep thinking is how HR is also Upper Management in LMG, which is kind of unacceptable in a company that size. That alone makes her claims possible, if anything.
  5. Yes, thank you for the input. I forgot to mention that, I wouldn't be playing in 4k as I don't really see that much of a difference even at 40"
  6. Hello, I currently have a UW 34" FHD Monitor (LG 34UC79G-B). Way back when I bought this monitor 2K was already a thing, but I figured I wouldn't be able to play anything in 144hz using that res. so it was meaningless to spend the extra buck going to UWQHD, and I still think I'm right on this account. However, since I've bought a 4k HDR10 TV for more casual 3rd person gaming, I've really felt the lack of pixel density and resolution. Nonetheless, UWQHD is still a very expensive niche, specially here in Brazil, and so, to upgrade my resolution, I'd have to leave the Ultrawide fandom and opt for a 32" or even 27" QHD display. Question is, is it really worth it? Have any of you done this and regreted it? I ponder this considering these options that are avaible: MSI's Optix-MAG321CURV, a 31.5" Curved, 4k HDR Ready (300 nits): https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG321CURV/Overview LG's 32UK550, a 31.5" 4K HDR10 (also 300 nits), Freesync Display: https://www.displayninja.com/lg-32uk550-review/ Asus' Strix 32" XG32VQ, a QHD, 144hz Freesync Display: https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-Strix-XG32VQ/ All of them are VA, the Asus is a tad more expensive, probably because it has g4m3r and 144hz all over it. Also, over this, I never got to fully enjoy 144hz even at FHD, as I don't often play competitive games so it wouldn't be a problem leaving it off. Over HDR, also haven't really seen a good HDR display: my current TV is Samsungs "HDR Premium" and its windows presentation is just a gray mess without contrast, in console-gaming wise I like it but I think that its budget nature keeps it from being extraordinary. My main drives are a Radeon Vega 64 and a AMD Ryzen 5 3600; on my main monitor I mainly play Single-player FPS, Total War and Paradoxes Grand Strategy Games. Thank you for the support.
  7. Unfortunately this card is nowhere to be found in Latin America. Think I'll be getting it then, it is also a 20% better price than the TUFs and matches my color setup way better (or any setup tbh, black and yellow Asus, why?). Without bothering you too much, why would the Asus fall short in relation to the other? Thank you all for the input
  8. There is the MSI b450 Gaming Plus, Tomahawks are mostly out of stocks and the other full ATX options are either 50% more expensive or from full out chinese manufactors...
  9. Hello all. I've recently made a cpu upgrade went from a 4790 to an Ryzen 5 3600, and while doing so, I encountered a dilemma in choosing two Motherboards models: ASUS TUF B450 Pro Gaming https://www.amazon.com/TUF-Gaming-Motherboard-Ryzen-B450M-Plus/dp/B07FKV3TVF/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=Asus+tuf+b450+pro&qid=1566395853&s=gateway&sr=8-1#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div And, ASUS TUF X470 Plus https://www.amazon.com/TUF-X470-Plus-Gaming-Ryzen-Motherboard/dp/B07C5YR3KS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=Asus+tuf+x470&qid=1566393141&s=gateway&sr=8-1 Why only the two options? Because here in my country motherboard prices are very steep and these two, despite having different chipsets, are currently costing the same thing. Thing is though the x470 is superior, I heard bad critics about Asus' plus lines. I've already bought the TUF b450, it just hasn't shipped yet, should I return it in exchange for the other? I intended to run mild overclocks in RAM and CPU Frequency, are there any significant drawbacks from whichever card?
  10. I want it because although this is a very budget card in NA, here in Brazil it would be the same price of an 1080 if you convert 600US to BRL. Also because I am prone to buy AMD for now on as I am tired of Nvidia slandering the video and gaming market with their exclusive "*insert generic difficult to pronounce name here*works®"
