  1. I am connecting to my desktop computer from my laptop. The Desktop computer (host) has a lower resolution display than my laptop and when I connect to it the maximum resolution I can stream it at is the maximum resolution of the host. This results in either a small window with black borders when connecting or if I scale to full screen it looks blurry and ugly. My question is can I use team viewer at a higher resolution than the host computers monitor. (My laptop display is 2160x1440 and the host computer is running at 1920x1080)
  2. Im overclocking my CPU and i noticed a setting called vCore downgrade. I have a feeling that keeping this on Extreme was causing stability issues because its designed to maximise power efficiency. If i keep vCore downgrade on "None" this keeps the voltage at a constant value even when not under load whereas before it would adapt depending on CPU usage. Does keeping the CPU multiplier and voltage at a certain value damage the CPU if it is kept like that when not under load?
  3. I am using my Asus t100taf and want to use a WINSTARS USB AV GRABBER (Its a usb device which converts s-video and component into usb for capturing VHS tapes). I have installed the drivers on my main rig and the device works but i want to use it in something more portable like my T100TAF. However after installing the drivers the only way I can get windows to recognise it is by using an OTG cable to connect it to the tablets micro usb slot which would be great if it didn't also use that slot for charging, so i tried it in the keyboard dock which has a USB 2.0 port on it however when I do that I get an error in windows saying "Unknown USB device: Port Reset Failed" I dont understand why it works when directly connected to the tablet but not when connected through the dock to the tablet. Does anybody know how to fix this?
  4. I have an Asus A58M-E and it came with the Asus Ai suite which has overclocking features and the UEFI has overclocking features.
  5. I'm new to overcooking however I have researched it, and I am experienced with Windows, gaming and simple programming and PC building so I'm not a complete noob. However after looking into oc'ing I decided to do it to my CPU as I want it to be at its best for when I get my new RX 470, currently I only have the stock cooler but I'm planning on getting an aftermarket air cooler soon. So yesterday I opened AMD Overdrive and followed what all the online tutorials suggested which was to keep increasing the multiplier until you are forced to increase the voltage because system instability or a crash would occur(each time I increased the multiplier I did a stability test). So I started out with the system defaults(37x multiplier @default Voltage)of course the system was stable so I kept the voltage the same but increased the multiplier to 38x; Ran a stability test then a CPUID benchmark and it was fine with a slight performance increase. I repeated this all the way up to 4.1GHz (I Daren't go any higher than 41x) still on the stock voltage and everything was fine. I ran benchmarks, stress tests and played GTA V for 3 hours with AMD Overdrive on my second monitor and It always stayed within the thermal margin Whilst under constant heavy load(which I think was caused by me not changing the voltage from stock). There has been a noticeable increase in performance in programs such as GTA V and Valves Hammer Map Editor (especially whilst compiling maps). Have I just been fortunate in the 'Silicone lottery'? Also what would be the performance gains of overclocking further?
  6. I have an AMD X4 860K, 16Gb RAM and a GTX 560Ti. Is the GTX 560Ti a bottleneck for the X4 860K? If so what is the best GPU I could go for without the X4 860K becoming the bottleneck.
  7. I have 64 bit windows 10 and I saw that I installed the default 32 bit version of office 2016, Afterwards i found out that you can get a 64 bit version. If 32 bit office works fine, whats the point of 64 bit office?
  8. I would like a new GPU since i have a ASUS GTX 560ti which isn't exactly new or efficient. I find myself having to shovel coal into it and wind the crank to get it to achieve 1080p @60 with Grand Theft Auto V. The card was good at the time but it shows its age in modern titles and the only games i can max out at 1080p at the moment are Source Engine games eg Team Fortress 2. Ye olde system build: CPU: X4 860K GPU: GTX 560ti (https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/ENGTX560_Ti_DC2DI1GD5/) Love the vids. Keep it up!
