  1. the drivers are all up to date. and i was on the adapter i was using. im using https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320333
  2. 5 ghz does work outside of games, but if im doing anything else the connection will drop instantly if i launch a game. Signal strength is about 83% (router is in another room)
  3. I can connect to the game servers fine on the 2.4ghz band, just not on the 5.0ghz band. I assumed it was the adapter since i don't know what else it could be.
  4. Im not sure what the problem is with my current network, but i cant connect to my games at all (path of exile and dota 2, havent tested others). This only happened while I was on the 5.0ghz band and everything was fine on the 2.4ghz band so i assumed the problem was with adapter.
  5. I need to look for a new dual band network adapter. I currently use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007GMPZ0A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but the 5.0ghz band is either faulty or just not working because when im on 5.0 im not able to connect to game servers. Budget: 45$
  6. I found the issue, the 5.0ghz band on my adapter was bad 2.4ghz band was fine and was able to play after i switched
  7. This started happening yesterday. Everything was working well before that and then suddenly I couldn't go online in any of my steam games (Dota 2, Path of Exile). The things I have tried with no fix: - opened the ports (it didnt allow me to just turn port forwarding on and off so I just enabled ports 10000 to the max number from the router settings) - netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset - rebooted router - checked firewall (everything was fine and nothing is being blocked). A little more info: I just moved in to a new apartment that has at&t internet 300, but it there was no problem until yesterday. Surfing the internet works fine but whenever i launch a game that tries to connect the internet just goes down until i close the game. Specs: Win 8.1 64bit GTX 1070 I5-6600k 750W PSU Asus motherboard z170-A SSD, HDD, corsair ram. network adapter: TP-LINK N600 The network adapter has given problems before but never like this.
  8. Hello all, I have corsair k65 lux keyboard. Today I spilled some coke on my desk and some got in the top left of the keyboard, thankfully it was only the ESC key that got most of the liquid. I took out the key and washed it and then used a q-tip (with water) to clean where the key goes (on the outside of it). I then let the key dry out for it and put it back in. I guess it wasn't dry enough because now the ESC key is unresponsive and every few minutes or so it triggers itself constantly for about 5 secs then just goes back to being dead. How do i go about fixing that key?
  9. Wouldnt it void the warranty if i opened it? one of the fans smells burnt (not the actual fan but whatever its under it). Im guessing is the vrm since everything else in the system seems to work just fine but when i put the card in, the pc doessnt even turn on.
  10. Yesterday my gpu just decided to stop working and went out with a bang. It sparked up and then the entire pc shot down, took it out and everything else is fine thankfully. I have an EVGA gtx 1070, can't remember the exact name. I bought it from amazon little over a year ago, and I didn't get any insurance for it. My question is, do I have evga warranty, and if so how do I RMA? Thanks in advance.
  11. Hello, I have posted about my problem several months back, on multiple websites and no one knows what it can be, all the lights are on when the pc goes to sleep/shutdown and the fans are running, but nothing else works, its like its frozen. I came to the conclusion that it was the network adapter causing this since i took it out and i ran the pc on ethernet and nothing happen. I switched the adapter and nothing changed. I have changed every setting thatr can deal with the wireless adapter (power options) and nothing works. I came to another conclusion and that's where i need help, could it be a faulty pcie slot? both adapters i have give me the same problems (and they are both compatible), i put them on the same slot as well, and only when there is nothing on the slot does the pc work fine. could this be the reason?
  12. Ya I forgot to say it can only be ATX since thats the only motherboard i have
