Hello people!
Few days ago my PC started being really slow when it comes to loading stuff, but only at certain times. It comes in waves.
Actual performance (when things are loaded) is untouched.
Checked read speed and got this (I have 2 HDD's; one for the OS and work related stuff, other one for games).
The PC is 7 years old (with the OS HDD 2 years at most)
Both HDDs are the seagate barracuda
SMART reports no issues
Also, for the past week, there have been ~2000 errors (event ID 11) -> The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. (the "gaming" 7 year old hdd)
EDIT: PC
Phenom II X4 945 (quad 3.0)
16gb ddr3 (corsair vengeance)
win7 ultimate x64
xfx radeon hd 6850
integra m550 W PSU
ASRock M3A770DE motherboard
using latest bios (which is really old)
Anyone has any ideas why this is happening?
Thank you!
