ColdFireish's Achievements

  1. Update. Everything seems fine after connecting the HDDs to other ports of the same motherboard.
  2. Ran the tests on an another PC First image is the OS HDD (the young HDD) Second image is the "gaming" HDD (the old HDD) They both seem fine to me. Event viewer no longer logs any errors. So would that mean that the motherboard is at its end?
  3. I may have forgot to note, the two screenshots are two different HDDs, the first one being 2yrs old, and the second one 7yrs. So.. both HDDs are starting to fail, at the same time?
  4. Hello people! Few days ago my PC started being really slow when it comes to loading stuff, but only at certain times. It comes in waves. Actual performance (when things are loaded) is untouched. Checked read speed and got this (I have 2 HDD's; one for the OS and work related stuff, other one for games). The PC is 7 years old (with the OS HDD 2 years at most) Both HDDs are the seagate barracuda SMART reports no issues Also, for the past week, there have been ~2000 errors (event ID 11) -> The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. (the "gaming" 7 year old hdd) EDIT: PC Phenom II X4 945 (quad 3.0) 16gb ddr3 (corsair vengeance) win7 ultimate x64 xfx radeon hd 6850 integra m550 W PSU ASRock M3A770DE motherboard using latest bios (which is really old) Anyone has any ideas why this is happening? Thank you!
  5. Happens every time. 5 years after the CPU still works fine, so it is normal I guess
  6. Let it sit for an hour or so. If nothing happens force and try again Or you could stay on 7 and evade all the pain
  7. Everyone is arguing about tech companies.. How about EA and Blizzard?
  8. Radeon HD 6850, infinite in its wisdom, eternal in its cooler.
