If you're not going to upgrade your monitor I don't really see the point in getting the 1080ti. Unless you really want to use supersampling.
 
If you really want it now, and maybe save the money to get a better monitor, buy the 1080.
 
If you can wait a couple of weeks and want the absolute best performance, and money isn't an issue, I'd get the 1080TI, it is more future proof I guess.

Are you running the Anniversary Update yet? Simple question but essential if you want to play FH3. Also if you want a stable 60 in that game I'd recommend using dynamic optimization if you have an older card like a 970 or 390.

Im running the Anniversary update or Redstone 1 and chrome runs fine. Its those small annoying update for windows or security patches that can break chrome. 

Yeah good choice, though it isnt like a normal update so you shouldnt be surprised when it happens.

Also dont forget to change the power plan settings in Windows to Balanced or Power Saver. If you set it on high performance your CPU will try to run at 4.00 GHz constantly, even on idle, whereas with balanced it can drop down to 1 GHz or less depending on workload, reducing unecessary heat.
