  1. 60% for video as she will be taking that class next semester 40% for photography since she still will need a few pieces of photography for her portfolio
  2. I have spoken with her after your post and she is leaning towards Mirror-less DSLRs. She is skilled with her Sony A330 and feel like it would be an easier learning curve to either the Panasonic or Sony mirror-less cameras.
  3. I want to buy a new camera or camcorder for my GF. She has been doing photography for about 6 years with her sony a330 (parents bought it for her back in HS). She is close to finishing up her undergraduate degree and will be taking a videography class but her sony a330 does not support film. So in anticipation of her needing a a camera/camcorder for her last few classes and use after graduation, I would like to buy her one. Some of what I have been looking at: Mirror less dslr: Panasonic Gh4 Panasonic gx85 Panasonic g85 Panasonic g7 Panasonic gx8 Sony alpha a6300 Sony alpha a6500 Sony alpha a7 Sony alpha a7 II Camcorders: Canon Xf100 Sony Ax100 Canon g30 Canon XA30 Canon XC10 Canon - VIXIA HF G40 Sony HDR CX900 Sony AX53 Sony AX33 Canon - VIXIA HF G20 Panasonic - HC-VX870K 4K So I am not really trying to pick a specific device NOW ( but if you have a recommendation please share , will be buying in the next month or so), my main question is: Since her camera is so old would one of the mirror-less dslrs that I listed be drastically better (or slightly better) at stills? If so, then it would make sense to buy one with recording function and forget about camcorders? Or should she stick with the sony A330 and get a camcorder? I will be getting an aftermarket audio solution for either option Thanks to anyone reading this!!
  4. Every sound comes out crackly almost like white noise but You can hear what is supposed to be played but as if there is another layer of sporadic sound that is changes the sound. I will ill record a video of it once I move back to its desk

  7. spent the last few hours trying everything with no luck
  8. freakibg sweet man! I am headin home now and will report back. Why is HDMI audio fine though you think?
  9. Headphones work on other sources l. Yeah I don't think it's a problem with the Schitt stack, them but with my motherboard it's an MSI c236a . Maybe bad grounding or something with Windows updates, I might try a fresh install and see
  10. Yo everyone! Context: Built my PC a few months back, everything was great and working. Decided to upgrade my audio game, got an external Dac amp (magni and modi) set it all up and plugged in headphones and all I can hear is hot garbage, like crazy distortion, tried uninstalling Schitt drivers 3 times. Plugged in headphones directly into to motherboard and still is distorted . Here is the kicker when I use the speakers on my monitor the sound is perfect which is connected via HDMI to my graphics card. Now this has not always been like this the motherboard Audio jack used to work but I just been using my speakers on my monitor I did not notice when it changed (meaning don't know if it was an update that changed it or not) I am at my wits end and have tried reinstalling the Realtek drivers as well and really am bummed that I spent a lot of money on the magni and modi 2. I checked to make sure no enhancements were on as well. Any suggestions?
  11. I would need to clear some shelves for this!
